Listen pal, I'v been a musician myself. I've enjoyed Broadway musicals, seen a number of them and they didn't need bailouts. I've been to DC plenty of times, to the galleries, museums and monuments. Hell Bell's, I lived and worked in DC during the summer of Nixon's impeachment. The place bears the Kenndey's name, let them pick up the tab. And maybe you ought to shut up before you going making judgements about me.

Same-day voter registration so DUmocrats can count illegals and non-valid votes. If Trump signs it, he signs his own pink slip.

Regardless of where you have been or what you have done, you ignorance about the Kennedy center is overwhelming.

How can we expect to survive this pandemic without a venue for interpretive dance and nonsensical po-mo theater?

I could care less about the Kennedy Center or the whole Kennedy clan. I'm sick and tired of my tax dollars funding PBS, NPR, The Children's Television Work Shop, The Kennedy Center and other elitist liberal conservative hating media outlets.

No. I’m responding to you. Are you chastising others here who have similar complaints or just me?

That is for Washingtonians or the arts or entertainment -pretty trivial things if our world is in danger of collapsing - but not necessarily for the Kennedy Family. The Edward M. Kennedy Center for the Study of the Senate, next to the John F. Kennedy Library, was/is for the Kennedys. That they got federal money for that boondoggle is unbelievable.

I used to have seasons tickets to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, but I dropped them because I got tired of paying Lincoln Center prices for second rate performances. The problem with the Kennedy Center is that it can surf along on its name, and bring in tons of money from tourists, secure that no matter what mediocre product it sells Uncle Sam will keep it afloat. There is no incentive to compete. The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, which receives little public support, is driven to be so much better that it makes the NSO sound like a high school marching band. The only time I visit the Kennedy Center these days is when they have some visiting company or performer there.

I could do it for $5 million, if only I could get enough hand sanitizer.

I won’t disagree.

I attended a Kennedy Center performance where the pianist played a grand piano tith a windshield squeegee.

I’m not certain but although a DC national attraction, the center is a private organization. Having no Idea of the operating expenses, I can’t tell if $25 million is adequate for say 6 months or so of closure.

We got same-day voter registration at any polling location in California this year in time for the primary. I think it’s ridiculous. The Democrats already run California, but they have made every insane voting law imaginable to ensure they stay in power. Don’t let it happen to your state.

Yeah, so they announced 3.3 million. I think that is on the low side. There is a backlog of applications in the states. And next week I think will be just as big. A lot of people shut down the week ending March 20. Those numbers and their applications are not baked in yet. And who knows how long it will take the states to process all the paperwork.

But hey, look at the bright side: public sector workers are still getting paid. ;-) Seriously, how about shifting all the state and municipal clerical staff sitting around doing nothing over to processing paperwork for unemployment and family relief funds? Nope. They don’t think about things like efficiency and productivity.
