Hopes were high after the Senate and the White House announced they had reached a deal on a $2.2 trillion economic stimulus package for Americans affected by the Wuhan coronavirus. But those hopes fizzled out after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi threatened another delay on the vote. Then four Republican senators noticed a "massive drafting error" that would result in "a strong incentive for employees to be laid off instead of going to work."
But there were more issues where those came from. Sen. Bernie Sanders saw the Republicans' threat and raised them one of his own. In his eyes, the current bill is one big corporate bailout.

I really don’t think the bill is going to happen. Even though the rats got many goodies they just aren’t giving Trump a victory and they cannot abide send all that money to non dependent Americans.
$24 an hour for unemployment. Looks like some Rat put that in there on purpose, as a poison pill.

I agree. Maybe we’ll be back in business relatively soon, and the bailout bill will become a moot point.
This might lead Trump to open up the nation sooner. It will backfire on the Democrats.

Hollering and shouting is what 100-year-olds do best. It is reflexive.
I did art therapy for a while, long ago. Elders with strokes and other cognitive disabilities will retain whatever most occupied their thoughts when they were healthier. So, if they spent their lives filled with invective, they can lose the ability to speak clearly, but retain the ability to clearly insert expletives everywhere. If they were obsessed with depressive thoughts, they will become overwhelmed with negativity and incapable of becoming positive enough to overcome the damage.
We all need to examine our cognitive habits, because everyone is vulnerable to stroke or dementia.
Guess he didn’t get a big enough pay-off from the DNC to drop out of the nomination yet, so he has to look for some other mark to extort.

The DemocRATS put it in for the same reason that they always put extended Unemployment benefits and liberalized food stamps in legislation— to discouraged people from going back to work.
Kill it. Let’s get back to work. If you’re old, I’m 68 stay home and get the eff out of the way.
False allegation - they are not objecting to them getting their unemployment coverage - they oppose paying people MORE than they were earning on their jobs. Hardly unreasonable.
