exactly what “has begun” dope?

I might not have phrase it quite that way, but its a legitimate question. I dont know NC law, but some state have 'shall issue' laws and the sheriffs have a certain amount of time to issue the permit, like 60 days for example, by law. So if things are such that the sheriff cant handle to increased workload and process in the required time, they might suspend that process until they can manage it within the law. I am not sure if thats the case here or not. In any case I wouldnt jump to imply that the sheriff is instigating gun confiscation.

Been waiting since early January for my renewal here in IL. Fortunately the law states they’re still valid if you’ve reapplied.

Yet another example of “If you wait for the crisis to arrive before preparing, then you’ve waited too long”

Mention this to all your non-gun-owning friends and relatives. When this blows aover, and availability goes back to normal, they should stock up, because the next time the shelves will be bare again, and they won’t be able to get permits processed.

“Wake County Sheriff Suspends Pistol, Concealed-Carry Permit Applications As Demand Surges”

As I noted in a similar story about gun sales - anyone JUST NOW figuring out that they’re going to need self-defense is better off without it, for the safety of others.

I had a really nice M1A. National Match job. SA Rangefinder scope, 20 mags, the works. It’s a 12-14 pound rifle tho. And I’m too old to lug that anymore.

Sold it to a guy who offered me $3,000 cash.

If I need a 308 I’ve got a bolt gun.

I now live in MS where Constitutional Carry is the Law of the Land. I never leave home without Mr. 9mm...

I am waiting for May when I meet the One Year Residency requirement to get my MS Conceal Carry Permit.

Even though I can Legally Carry now, I am not in the same position when I cross the Mississippi River into LA. With the MS Permit I gain Reciprocity in 30+ other States.

Too bad we can’t truly live as free Men under the God given umbrella of our Republic’s Founding, but at least I’m close living here in one of the Freest States in the Union.

A permit for a God given inalienable right stated in the Constitution just like the Abortion permit. /s

Reminds me that the only permit we need was issued in 1791, and it grants us nothing; it denies government authority to challenge it.

My son says all his libtard friends in Durham were shocked that they couldn’t just go on the internet and buy a gun and have it shipped to their home.

All Fairfax County, VA government offices are closed.

“To help limit the spread of the coronavirus, Fairfax County will close all government buildings and facilities to the public starting Friday, March 27, at 5 p.m., until further notice. However, the county government remains open for business online and by phone and mail.
...
Some specific public services may continue to be provided in-person as determined necessary by county agencies and employees will continue to be able to access these facilities”

They mention in-person (curb side) absentee ballot collection, but nothing else. Initial CHP applications must be done in person, so it seems that’s on hold for now until people complain too much. Renewals can be done by mail.

Yes, but what if nobody in America makes what I want? :P

Not that it matters much anyway, most gun stores sold out weeks back.

I inherited one from my dad. Nice and lightweight but still has a punch. Great personal defense gun.

Anyone here have one? What do you think of yours'?

I have one that I inherited from my dad but I've never shot it........

It's no longer original since my dad had it blued, refinished the wood. It looks beautiful now....

Dad was a Detroit cop and purchased the rifle immediately after the 1967 riots. Not certain where he got it but I'm thinking a local armory since it was greased and wrapped at the time he got it........
