Most Americans will be receiving checks from the federal government after President Donald Trump and Congress agreed to a $2 trillion coronavirus relief deal Wednesday.
The stimulus is unprecedented in size, and politicians hope it will prevent the country from descending into a recession if a protracted fight against COVID-19 grinds the economy to a halt.

If they give $1,200 to the various residents living on the streets of the larger US cities the resulting drug overdoses will dwarf the coronavirus caused deaths.
Trumps fault
Do they have to pay taxes to be a taxpayer?
Redistribution of wealth. Plain and simple
Are there any publicly traded illegal drug suppliers? Sounds like an investment bonanza...

One wonders how many filed an income tax return. From the article: “Annual income is based on your 2018 tax returns. If you did not file a tax return in 2018, you must file the 2019 return before qualifying for the stimulus check.”
“resulting drug overdoses will dwarf the coronavirus caused deaths”
Gee, that would be a shame.
How many of the homeless do you think pay taxes?
Screw the rest of us that have had our 401Ks wiped out, you know those of us that actually pay 97% of the individual income taxes. Fricking goipE!
Well, it’s for me to calculate how much I’ll get: $0.00.
How do I calculate how much I’ll pay?
Many on SS don’t make enough to file taxes. The feds still have their addresses.
Disagree... “printing money”... electronic deposits that come from nowhere, a one way credit to your account with no corresponding debit. We can get away with it because we are the world’s currency, and Washington knows that nobody is better so our currency won’t devalue over it, to a point. Plush place to be in.
My mother will probably get a check, and she died last year. I guess I'll simply shred it.
Actually, given the number of deaths so far, I think drug OD already dwarfs COVID19 by a long shot.
same. 2018 I was fine. 2020 : zero

True, but the law requires that you’ve filed a return. BTW, if you’re homeless, then what is your address?
That basically tells me nothing. What is the precise definition of a $75,000 income? Is it a certain line number on your 2018 1040? Possibly AGI? or something else? Remember, we're dealing with politicians here.

+1
I’ll share my zero with you
