NY dmv closed.
It’s a federal law that we need real ID for.
California can’t postpone that.
I don’t expect to be flying anywhere soon, so I’m in no big rush to ‘present all my papers’ to the government.
Tens of millions of illegals in this country will be denied the ability to board a plane because they lack the documents to get Real ID.
Do you really think the courts are going to let that happen?
Neither do I.
I lucked out, got my real ID two months ago. I live in a small town and just walked into the local DMV and was in and out within 40 mins. Real ID arrived in the mail 8 days later. Ironically, I haven’t flown since 2005. Just wanted to have one.
Maybe they can use the extra time to determine how real the ids are from states with x genders.
.... It's all because the idiot liberal activist states started giving Driver's Licenses to Illegals that we all have to do this ..... And before you know it .... They will start giving Real ID's to Illegals and we will all be forced to have Federal ID's ..... And so on ... and so on .....
I just got one in New Jersey. I went in on a Tuesday morning and after a short wait in their nice waiting area I received it on Friday afternoon. My wife was a bit suspicious over my absence for four days but when I explained I was at the DMV she understood completely.
I wondered about this law and the best determination I can come up for over why we need it is because states like NY, NJ, CA are giving drivers licenses to illegals.
“”Trump did not say what the new deadline would be””
Good thing I’m not the President...
I’d extend it to October 2, then tell those “folks” how grateful they better be or I’ll cut it back to Sept 30
..in the ‘beatings will continue until morale improves department”
The law and mandate has only been ineffective for something like 10-15 years. The Commissars in California and other states decided to blow it off, likely to what it would do to unravel their sanctuary state status. Now, a deadline looms and they scurried to get it done. My state is largely done and in compliance since licenses expired every 5 years.
