Steven Dick, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Budapest, has died after contracting coronavirus, the Foreign Office said on Wednesday.
The 37-year-old diplomat died in Hungary on Tuesday, it said in a statement. He had served as Deputy British Ambassador to Hungary since December, according to a biography published on the UK government’s website.

Having said that I am getting sick of headlines about younger people dying “after contracting CoVid-19” or people “infected with CoVid-19 dying” and so on. Did he die of CoVid-19, of some other illness complicated by CoVid-19 or of some other cause altogether?
I imagine this guy drank water sometime recently. The headline could just as well read “37 year old man dies after drinking water.”

Very little information. Nothing about how long he’d been sick, or whether he’d been hospitalized. Only that he died in Hungary.
Do you think he was hit by a car? I mean Rooters isn’t known for ace reporting, so I suppose the cause of death could be unrelated to the infection.
But, I imagine that it is just a rather sloppy telling of another Wuhan Virus death that wasn’t intended to be a coroner’s report.
It includes his age, which is younger than most dying of this, but I don’t think there is anything sinister in this.
For myself, I am more interested in where these cases are popping up and how the disease was spread. Maybe this report can help with that.

the media is twisting itself into pretzels trying to make this virus be deadly to “younger people without underlying health conditions” reminds me of the HIV epidemic when it was mostly homosexual men who had were getting it but the media wanted it to be an STD that is caught equally between both sex’s (back then we only had 2 genders). They would almost gleefully report a female or heterosexual couple got HIV....
That’s the truth. I see they already had to backtrack over the report of the kid who died in California.

I wish we did, but we're not quite there yet. People want to believe that hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin (maybe plus zinc) is a magic bullet. There is justification for optimism based on the results of small studies, but the drug combo has not yet been conclusively proved. New York's large-scale testing is now underway. We shoud know soon.
