Here's an indisputable fact: President Donald Trump is as popular today as he has been since his first day in office.
In a new Gallup poll, 49% approve of the job Trump is doing as president while 45% disapprove, matching the highest his approval rating has ever been in Gallup surveys. A Monmouth University poll released on Monday showed Trump at 46% approval, again the best he has done in that poll in more than three years.
What accounts for Trump's rise? Simple: His response to the coronavirus crisis.
In the Gallup poll, 60% of Americans approve of the job Trump is doing in handling the crisis while 38% disapprove of how he has done. Six in 10 independents approve of how Trump has done on the coronavirus as do more than 1 in 4 (27%) of Democrats. In the Monmouth poll, 50% say Trump has done a good job with coronavirus while 45% said he has done a bad job.
The heightened approval for how Trump has managed this crisis -- particularly among independents and even Democrats -- is what is pushing up his overall approval numbers, which have been largely stagnant for years.

But this is a comparison thing. How does Trump compare to Biden, you do remember Biden, don’t you?
Biden still has not figured out how to use modern media and Trump is well into handling a huge national emergency.

When the left runs into a situation where they do not like what others on their side of the line do they ignore it. They won’t speak about it or post about it they just go on as if it never happened. This situation is a prime example of that. You know how pissed off many of them are who view the chance of losing thousands of dollars in free money because Nancy is playing political games.
They can not bring themselves to be honest and criticize their own.
In DU they will get kicked out if they show decent from the herd. The herd makes sure of it.
I view it as a total lack of personal integrity and honor.
They can not speak their own thoughts or walk their own path and risk the ire of the pack.
Pretty sad overall.
So they can’t do their job today because they are worried about tomorrow because the pigs on the left have told them they need to be.
Pigs, absolutely. Scarring people needlessly should be a crime. Willingly buying into the BS does not make them look intelligent.
You can always be scared of something then you always have someone or something to blame things on.. The victim mentality is a choice that is made every day.

Now in fairness, when the nomination was undecided, there was lots of back and forth and controversy on DU.

Agree wholeheartedly. Another thing I’ve noticed is that the Bernie Brats have pretty much abandoned DU. The battle between Bernie supporters and establishment democrats is very real and very ugly. They are disgusted with Biden and the DNC. To feed your curiosity (if you don’t mind Twitter) hop on one of these hashtags: #bernieorbust or #neverbiden. Fantastic insight. I’ve also been lurking around LiberalForum.org. Very robust debate there and they allow conservatives too (in fact I believe the site is owned and run by one) so you can imagine the war. It is very entertaining.

I do not conform to much of anything. There is a lady or two that will tell you I am spoiled rotten. I’ve done well enough in life to do what I want, when I want, and to come home when I want or I need to be here.
I pretty much shoot from the hip and tactical reloads are authorized.
I do not do liars well, if you have an opinion that is great and I’ll ask questions so I understand what your opinion is and I believe you are entitled to it,
BUT
if you state something as fact then you will need provable facts to back it up. A lie told a thousand times does not make truth it makes a worn out lie.
Biden? He wouldn't need to. The Dem press would do it for him. ...unless they decide to throw him overboard for some last minute back room candidate.
And his popularity is coming right out of the Rats' hides. "Why is this man smiling" Biden is loosing big chunks of political veneer daily.
