I wonder how they plan to take on China? Maybe in the South China Sea, on those islands. Certainly not mainland China. We can’t get there from here. The Chinese will never invade the US either. They don’t have the troop transports. They can’t even invade Taiwan. I think that if they somehow got thousands of troop transports, the Navy and Air Force would have a field day, sinking them. If any got through, they would face millions of armed and angry American civilians.
Somehow that struck me as utterly hilarious.
It’s easier to invade if you soften the target up with nukes.
The justifying document cites South China Seas islands as exactly the intended theater for the Marines’ intended future.
Also, why would you use troop transports to get here? Just fly the troops in on regular commercial flights in civilian guise, have the Chinese shipping conglomerates smuggle their equipment in on container ships, join them together and you suddenly have a beachhead...
They can’t invade Taiwan because Taiwan is too close for the mainland to have any hope of blocking their nuclear retaliation.
It would cost the Chinese Communists Shanghai and the area around it at a minimum.
But they will have Canada, and maybe Mexico.
