Nevadas Governor Steve Sisolak (D) on Tuesday issued an emergency order barring the use of anti-malaria drugs such as chloroquine for Coronavirus patients.
Last week Sisolak shut down casinos and only kept open essential businesses like grocery stores and health care facilities.
In addition to barring the use of chloroquine for Coronavirus patients on Tuesday, Nevadas governor also banned social gatherings of more than 10 people.
The Associated Press reported (emphasis our own):
LAS VEGAS (AP) Nevadas governor on Tuesday night issued an emergency order banning gatherings of more than 10 people in the state indoors or outdoors, a more aggressive move to try to stop the spread of the coronavrius.
Sisolak said the order does not apply to private homes or the homeless, but includes places like social clubs, parks, libraries and sports fields.
Sisolak signed an emergency order earlier Tuesday barring the use of anti-malaria drugs for someone who has the coronavirus. The order restricting chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine came after President Donald Trump touted the medication as a treatment and falsely stated that the Food and Drug Administration had just approved the use of chloroquine to treat patients infected with coronavirus. Sisolak said in a statement that theres no consensus among experts or Nevada doctors that the drugs can treat people with COVID-19.
Anyone who violates the order will be charged with at least a misdemeanor crime and it remains in place until April 16 (after Easter).
President Trump on Saturday expressed optimism about two drugs that he said could be one of the biggest game changers in medicine hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin.
Hydroxychloroquine is a drug used in the treatment and prevention of malaria. Azithromycin is an antibiotic that is used to treat many different types of infections in the respiratory system, eyes, ears, and skin, as well as sexually transmitted diseases.
A 52-year-old Coronavirus victim recently said he expected to die but hydrochloroquine saved his life:
An hour after an IV with the medicine, he says his heart felt like it was beating out of his chest. They had to come in and get me calmed down and take care of me. I had another episode about two hours later where I just got to the point where I couldnt breathe and my heart was pounding again so they gave me some Benadryl through the system and something else. Im not sure what it was. It allowed me to go to sleep and when I woke up at exactly 4:45 in the morning, I woke up like nothing ever happened.Miraculously, hes since had no fever or pain, feels fine and hes able to breathe again.
To me, there was no doubt in mind that I wouldnt make it until morning, Giardinieri said. So to me the drug saved my life. I just want everyone to know theres an option. You dont have to just sit there and hydrate. Theres a medicine thats working.
But now Coronavirus patients in Nevada will not have access to these anti-malaria drugs because the governor said so.
WTF? This idiot knows more than physicians on how to treat patients? He should have gone the other way and tried to extend Good Samaritan protections to prescribing physicians faced with COVID19 illness who in good faith try to cure the patient.
I’ll bet that he doesn’t have the authority to do that.
This fool is a typical LIB lunatic loser WAY ABOVE his pay grade. Nitwit supreme .
How long until he finds an exercise band in his bed?
Sorry, governor, you do not have the authority on your own to criminalize the use of a therapeutic drug by dictating its usages, particularly to make it a misdemeanor offense. Just so you know, there is something called a legislature in your state, dummy, and they are the ones with the sole jurisdiction to pass statutory criminal law in your state.
Is this the kind of move that would typically motivate large masses of people to march into the streets and overrun executive government offices and residences?
My dear Nevadan friends.
You do not deserve this (why did you vote for it?)

Shocking. This man in an imbecile
Oh, hes magnitudes of order worse than that. Arrogant, corrupt, nasty and incomparably incompetent. Hes worse than the virus itself.
The service workers union put him into office. I consider it Karma that they are all out of work...may they rot in their poverty. I cant say what I think should be done to Sisolkak because its against the rules of this forum. But I sure as Hell hope it happens.
That will teach the big Culinary union in Las Vegas to stay on the plantation and for the members to not think for themselves. They gave them a chance to endorse Biden and they didn’t play along. So now, no jobs and no Coronavirus treatment for them.
Or his brother...
How can he possibly have authority to do that? Even if he were a doctor.
Oh no, Trump found a cure for corona virus! We’ve got to ban it immediately!
Wonder is the governors sleep will be disturbed by the thought of encountering the survivors of those that might die because of his edict? His meal servers, staff, big time donors, bartenders at his golf club, any of the little people who suffered loss of loved ones, whom he encounters every day. Don’t think metal detectors and bullet proof vests would be much use against a blast of virons.
Hes willing to kill off half his population because he hates Trump.
Gov Sisolak essentially shut down the whole state of Nevada for 30 days on 3/18 at 00:01.
Casinos closed. Schools closed. Theaters closed. Bars closed. Restaurants curbside, pick up or delivery only. Churches, find a way to deliver spiritual sustenance without personal attendance. Funerals, minimal number of attendees. All nonessential businesses closed. Unemployment, apply on line. Food banks, boxed food and gloves. Utility disconnects, suspended. Eviction proceedings, suspended.
Grocery stores on limited hours. My local one went from 24/7 to 8 AM to 8 PM, with a 7 am opening on Mon, Wed, Fri for old farts and high risk customers.
Pharmacies are allowed to stay open, how nice.
Gas stations and truck stops are permitted to stay open. I think truckers might be allowed to sit down to eat...
Now no gatherings of more than 10 people in the state indoors or outdoors.
And what the hell?!?!?! He’s practicing medicine without a license???
(Still haven’t heard anything about closing the brothels...)
An act of war if true.
Dr. Oz was on Hannity tonight. He told Hannity of a conversation he had with a top Epidemiologist in NYC who told Dr. Oz that withholding HCD from any Wuhan Virus patient in destress is IMMORAL.
Hannity asked both Dr. Oz and the Surgeon General, if your family members were to contract the Wuhan Virus would you give them the HCD antibiotic cocktail? They both said yes they would. Without hesitation.
Nevadians get what they voted for. Recall the loon.
