I want it over by EASTER! Donald Trump says the U.S. doesn't shut down for deadly flu and defies doctors' advice that millions could die if he pushes ahead with getting America back to business

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said he can re-open the economy while protecting at-risk populations from the coronavirus despite warnings from medical experts that strict containment measures are still needed. 'Our people want to return to work,' the president wrote on Twitter. 'They will practice Social Distancing and all else, and Seniors will be watched over protectively & lovingly. We can do two things together. THE CURE CANNOT BE WORSE (by far) THAN THE PROBLEM! Congress MUST ACT NOW. We will come back strong!,' he argued.

my point is, I didn’t hear that and neither did you. But you felt free to call me a liar for what I posted earlier. Really uncalled for.

Notice how there are no quotation marks?

That’s because they are NOT quoting President Trump, but they are giving the impression that was what he said.

It’s yet another lie by people who HATE President Trump and America as an independent nation.

Missing human interaction

If I didn't turn on the news every now and then, I wouldn't notice that anything was different. I work from home, and I'm anti-social by nature.

My "human interaction" is for when I run out of milk, bread or fresh fruit or veggies and go to the grocery store.

Accept their (lying) scenario for a moment. Open for business = millions die.

Then consider the scenarios that could result from keeping business closed too long. Here’s one possibility:

1. Shortages of food, medical supplies, and other necessities develop — that leads to rioting and looting (already starting).

2. Essential public services (sewer & water) start to fail in various locations. That happens routinely — only, this time, there are no maintenance crews to fix them.

3. Electricity grids start to fail. Perhaps just locally at first; then, perhaps whole grids. Ordinarily, that’s a major inconvenience — this isn’t ordinary times. If there’s no one to repair the grid — or a shortage of replacement parts — the grid stays down.

4. No electric grid means:
i.) no refrigeration (food spoilage leads to greater food shortages — more riots, etc.)
ii.) diabetes medicine (amongst others) goes bad due to lack of cooling.
iii.) electronic communications are down — we’ll experience real isolation.
iv.) complete social anarchy.

And so on — until hundreds of millions die. Big cities hardest hit.

The death rate will be very low if we can make testing efficient and accessible. Also, medical personnel have to have hydroxycloroquine and other supplies. If we don’t aquire the tests or the drugs, it’s going to get ugly but if we don’t open up the economy, it’s going to get ugly. We need to do both.

And I’m not sure we shouldn’t all be wearing surgical masks, at least indoors. If someone is infected, a mask protects everybody else.
