If President Trump had inherited a CDC in top shape, prepared for such an event, he would have reason to call them. Seeing as he found out he had a dilapidated bunch of bureaucrats with a broken system, why would he be remotely interested in the opinions of those who oversaw such a mess?

FYI the Senate’s procedural vote on the Phase 3 stimulus package failed, 47-47. Reporters on the Hill are saying Leader McConnell is angrier than they’ve ever seen him.

They only included Bush so they could mention Obama, giving them an opening to talk on tomorrow’s news shows about how wonderfully (HA!) he handled the H1N1 in 2009 . Actually Obama did almost nothing about it and it diminished in the usual fashion of a virus pandemic.
