Gov. Phil Murphy said hes really damned unhappy to hear stories hes hearing about New Jersey residents not abiding by his stay-at-home order to combat the coronavirus outbreak and warned Sunday to expected a law enforcement crackdown.
Theres too many people not paying attention to this. Weve about had it. Were not happy," Murphy said during a conference call to update the state on the latest cases.
We banned any social gatherings in the state. We want people to stay home, he said. "We want all of these steps to be enforced aggressively.
Enforcement could include arrests, he said.
Under Murphys order, social gatherings of any size are banned in the state. People are not allowed to gather in groups and should practice social distancing.
Those exempted from the stay-at-home order include health-care workers, law enforcement, emergency responders, members of the media, some federal officials, people who assist low-income residents (such as food bank workers), and those who need to get to work at businesses allowed to remain open.

sigh. facists gotta facist.
Mass arrests, but where can he put them all, and maintain social distancing? Six feet under?
Gov. Phil Murphy said hes really damned unhappy ...
Well that’s too bad but you and cuomo can go #### yourselves cause I had a father.
I couldn’t give a DAM that he’s really damned unhappy.
What a terrifying statement from a leader in the US.
Unconstitutional doesn’t begin to describe it.
LOL! That’s right, they’re emptying the jails.
Arrest for violations of WHAT LAW?
Maybe he plans to weld them into their apartments.
All following the exact same playbook.
Catch and release. Make a bit of money off the fines, kind of like issuing speeding tickets.
This pinko already closed all the watering holes..he better not close the liquor stores
The natives are getting restless.
Tyrants gonna tyrannize.
Democrats are releasing their inner tyrant.
Yes, I wonder too, we’re going to put people in jail for these violations?
While this virus is serious, are we losing all perspective, and , anyone worry that these emergency powers being used will become a facet of daily life????
Except the people working 18 hours on the front lines, getting infected at work and facing this up close and personal day in and day out.
Can people who are exposed and recovered fully go about their life? That number will grow exponentially. You can’t keep those people in confinement for months when they are no longer sick, will not get sick again, and cannot make others sick.
Well said.
The longer this goes on the more this is going to happen. People will get restless.
I posted elsewhere that I saw a terrifying video from Spain (where they have a lockdown) of mounted police turning and galloping after a renegade jogger who was running along the street. It was really terrifying, and Im sure such power is the dream of every governor in the US.
I know Trump believes in distributing power, but there are and will be serious violations of rights going on, all for a hypothetical, and I think he should work for moderation.
