I don't trust Politico. At all

But they never said they had the documents, they said Politico reviewed the documents:

Documents reviewed by POLITICO detail the department’s requests to lawmakers on a host of topics, including the statute of limitations, asylum and the way court hearings are conducted. POLITICO also reviewed and previously reported on documents seeking the authority to extend deadlines on merger reviews and prosecutions.

Same as “sources familiar with the situation”

cnn/msnbc/atlantic/nyt/wapo/politico

Can’t take any of them for their word

So who in Congress gave these documents to Politico to “review”? It that even legal? Politico hates all good and loves all evil. Sundance is crazy for believing them and agreeing with them.

IF Barr has proposed what he is said to have propposed, he has good reason to do so. And if Politico even “reviewed” any “documents”, I would have to see said documents before accepting Politico’s take on them.
