PM tells Channel 13 News: If there is no choice-we will impose fines on civilians or go to a total blockade.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave an interview to Channel 13 News Saturday night, in which he discussed the coronavirus crisis and said that "if there is no choice, we impose fines on civilians or go to a full closure".
Netanyahu thus confirmed a report in Channel 13 News which said that he had been discussing the possible imposition of fines on people who leave their homes for purposes other than equipping themselves with essential products or receiving medical treatment, even though the Ministry of Health's order does not prohibit people from leaving their homes.
"We are in the midst of the toughest epidemic we have seen since the Middle Ages", Netanyahu clarified. "Most countries are on the verge of losing control-including advanced countries such as Germany, France-and soon the United States as well. There are currently countires with huge shortages, and we are relatively well off"....

Last I knew this year’s flu season has killed more Israelis than WuFlu.
Even Israel has seen far graver perils to its existence than this.
I think coronavirus should be taken seriously. But I also think people need a serious sense of perspective.

You mean the ONE deceased patient they have now. This is the worse since the Middle Ages. The Middle Ages must have been Nirvana.
Sure they have some patients in serious condition, but overall Israel has done an amazing job keeping their patients alive up to now. Their drug approval is light years ahead of our FDA.
Is he referring to the 0.004% infected globally or the 0.00019% killed by it?
Has he ever heard of American Smallpox epidemic that took place around 1775? The Spanish flu epidemic of 1918-1929? The polio outbreaks that left even healthy people in iron lungs?

It’ll stay in panic mode until the MSM stops its hysterical reporting.
The numbers don’t bear that out, the virus has a million more deaths to go before it equals other epidemics that no one’s ever heard of.
What about the Spanish flu. Wait, can we call it the Spanish flu?

I don’t see how making super-charged statements like that can help. This kind of thing only rings the panic bell even louder than it’s already ringing.
Seems like good leaders that really care should be saying things like,” USE COMMON SENSE, BUT DON’T PANIC.”
Add to that, “PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD WHO IS OUR HELPER.”
