They should have a sign at the entrance of the White House Press Room: Please Check Your Personality Disorder at the Door......Either that or Dantes epochal Lasciate ogne speranza, voi chintrateAbandon hope all ye who enter here.
The assorted paleo-virtue signalers and candidates for anger management training that comprise the White House press corps have, as if it were possible, humiliated themselves more than ever, almost beyond recognition.
To say they are more interested in scoring points against the president than eliciting information or even improving the precarious health and economic situations of their fellow Americans is close to the understatement of the year.
(Not that it matters. Calling someone a racist these days is about as meaningful as calling a classmate doo-doo head in nursery school.)
What is interesting is that many of the more extreme questions that are short on content but long on hostility come from the well-paid representatives of the television networksABC, NBC, and CBS. These companies received their prominent positions in the press room and, more importantly, on our television screens, decades ago.
....It may be time to revisit the preferences given to these networks that tend to mirror each other in ways that are inherently anti-democratic. Do they have those positions into perpetuity? Why?

Im enjoying these confrontations with the press. The briefings themselves are repetitive and short on hard numbers. Its when Trump starts taking questions, and smacking down the rude, partisan questioners, that it gets entertaining. Better than WWE
We keep hearing the common refrain of “let’s tackle this like when we all joined together to fight World War Two”! But folks forget that in WW2 Roosevelt had the press eating out of his hand because of the secrecy involved and they dare not print anything unapproved. Contrast that with today’s media and their gottcha questions while PDJT puts up with much of their BS questions and insinuations as he tries to be as transparent and reassuring as possible. And if he becomes secretive he gets “what are you hiding from the American people”?
I just loved how a one point Trump glared a bit at Alexander and said in answer to one of his questions ‘’Ok, smart guy?’’. That is CLASSIC NYC in your face.
He shoulda said, my bad, not exactlyChinese, but communist Chinese and American press virus..,
I was thinking that "show them to the door" without the need for a sign.
When I was in college I was a bouncer and I used to throw assholes like Peter Alexander out of the establishments I worked. It would be fun to do that again!!
I would go a step further. No more follow up questions. If they persist, revoke their press badges. If they want to act like children, treat them like children.
Follow up questions just let them interrupt and be rude anyway.
Unless Trump enjoys letting them make fools of themselves, which is possible, I guess.
Yep! I’d go along with that.
Trump definatly has no problem calling the reporters out.
BINGO!!! I wish he would say that EXACTLY!
Even other WH press members and Dr Fauci are getting sick of the same 3-4 people that babble about the same subjects every day. coronavirus vs chinese virus and any little contradiction between task force members messaging.
Pence kind of pissed me off yesterday and probably pissed off Trump too. Trump had just got done talking about how these ventilators are complex machines, computerized etc and then Pence got up there and said these are pretty simple machines in his usual bobble head televangelist way.
Social distancing himself far, far away, never to return I hope.
Since the "glory" days of Sam Donaldson.
Trump keeps calling this, “Chinese Virus”.
What will he be calling next year’s Chinese virus?
Pompeo handles one of those lunatics w=very well.
after a particularly stupid question he said
“Does anyone else have a question?”
I recall Don Rumsfeld once saying “Dumb question. Next?”
Don’t think that most people in this country are not noticing this. Almost everyone I talk to (including people that have been against the president prior to this) think that this is unacceptable and inappropriate. I believe that this latest “blame it on Trump” is going to backfire in their collective faces.
I wish I could draw a lightning bolt zap between Trump’s finger and that reporter in that picture.
Hey, keep the coat!
A question that is not a waste of AMERICA’s time.
