Purell disinfectant hand soap is not on the EPAs list of chemical products shown to be effective aging covad19, and GoJo doesnt claim that it does.
Why now? Freakin socialists....

Arrrggh!
What portable hand-cleaning product —does— kill it?
I was using some 409 cleaner the other day and noticed that it claimed that it killed 99.99% of germs. I was not even using it for that but as a general cleaner.
Don’t touch door knobs, grocery cart handles and toilet flush levers.
And.........don’t pick your nose. If you feel the uncontrollable need to stick your finger in something.....uh I had better stop there.
Lawsuit happy lawyers are always looking to profit from the latest scare or the least bit of an infraction by a company. Even though Roundup does not cause cancer and baby powder doesn’t cause ovarian cancer, lawyers have still raked in millions by convincing gullible jurors that they do.
Bump
Does anything beat good old-fashioned Clorox?
I worked for a company in the same industry as GoJo and am certain they know exactly what they can and cannot claim about their products. It's the homeopathic and "natural" products so dear to the "Progressives" who get caught up in FDA snares.
“GOJO, the maker of Purell hand sanitizer, is facing two class-action lawsuits accusing it of “misleading claims” that it can prevent “99.9 percent of illness-causing germs.”
IMO this is not a misleading claim since it does not suggest that it prevents or cures any illness. The active ingredients of Purell are known in the literature to reduce the number of pathogenic bacteria by 99.9% under a variety of test conditions. This is a nuisance lawsuit attempting to get a quick settlement.
Avenatti must be behind this ...
Need to know who the complaintants are, including organizations if they are involved. Without it, the article is inadequate.
The active ingredient in Purell is alcohol. It is in more than adequate concentration to work.
GOJO/Purell know very well label requirements.
This is just a silly lawsuit of someone trying to cash in. They won’t win this one.
Ivory soap’s 99 44/100t% pure better watch out.
This whole thing with people getting worked up over sanitizer is really even more ridiculous than the toilet paper situation. Hand sanitizer is not as good as washing your hands, not even close but its better than nothing.
Yknow what kills just about everything? Bleach. Ive been folding up a few paper towels and putting it in a ziplock bag. Then dribble a little bleach in the bag, seal it, and roll your hand around on the bag until the whole towel is damp. Don’t over do it, you don’t want the baggie to have pools in it that might leak. Just enough to get the whole thing damp all the way through.
When Im out and I have to use my hand on a doorknob or something I use the layered bleach towel. I disinfect the community doorknobs and things as I walk around using them. When I have to push the pads I hold it in my palm and stick my finger between the layers so that Ive got a bleach sock on my finger. If I bump some part of my hand on something I can press it on that area so that moistens that area and wipe it right back up.
Keep the baggie sealed and in your pocket when youre not using it and you don’t smell like bleach when youre walking around.
Youre protected and youre helping to protect everyone else in the mean time and you still wash your hands when youre done.
No cooties and no need to worry about some silly shortages.

None of my microbilogists use hand sanitizer.. they are soap and water fanatics.
This sounds connected to the extraordinary rise in hospital acquired infection witth folks using primarily hand sanitizer.. rarely soap and water.
