As the Chinese coronavirus shuts down our economy and locks in our homes, we are discovering stock boys matter and Hollywood celebrities do not.
Out there in the shit, out there in the danger, out there touching countless surfaces that could be infected, out there working punishing hours for low wages are the people we too often overlook and take for granted even though they are the ones who keep our world turning.
Away from their families, risking illness, Americas farm workers, truck drivers, grocery store workers, sanitation workers, and delivery people, are holding together the slender thread that keeps our supply chains moving, and those supply chains are the literal difference between civilization and anarchy.
Meanwhile, heres how Americas elite, Americas royalty, Americas fabulously wealthy and fawned over are contributing during these serious and scary times
e this is all over, we all know the stupid American pecking order will return; a pecking order where the working class who took all the risks and did all the dangerous grunt work to keep our civilization civilized, will at best be forgotten and taken for granted again, and at worst return to being the only class of people you can safely ridicule because Orange Man Bad.
And those in Hollywood, who proved to be the most disposable and annoying people in the history of the world, will return to being celebrated and hailed as brave for silly fashion choices and standing
But at least for now, we are rid of them, and at least for now, we are reminded of how unnecessary they are.
The people who matter in this country, who really matter, who will always matter, are not scribblers like myself, and are certainly not the performers in Hollywood and the news media

We’ve always known who was worthwhile and who was worthless...
Most libs are worthless.
And that’s why WizzenStein is in Gaol.
My 20 year old son is a trucker. He drives semi’s delivering lumber to jobsites for a lumberyard.
I told him that he’s got the most important job in the family right now. He’s keeping hundred’s of people employed and able to feed their families.
“Everyday heroes”!
Having been a stock boy in my younger days I know how hard they work. Hollywood is a total waste of my time. I only wish more people thought that way. Movies..... 3 hours of my life I’ll never get back.... waste of time. Most of those people could walk up to my door and I would have no idea who they were
Hollywood can’t deliver healthcare or toilet paper.
My parents always taught me that anyone who earns an honest living was worthy of my respect.
They were right.
I’ve always said that I have HIGH FRIENDS IN LOW PLACES!
I ordered a lot of heavy stuff so it was really helpful. And he packed it all in shelf boxes so didn't have to pay for any bags.
TRY IT !!
1. Can't make a wage commensurate with the sacrifice because the states keeping hitting the industry like a piñata with unreasonable fees and taxes. Yes, here's looking at YOU, City of Emporia, Virginia---you blood sucking parasites charging for permits in the I-95 corridor....and you didn't fund or build I-95..
2. Can't have 48 hours defined as a weekend break. It's 34 hours. 3. We are not reimbursed for reasonable expenses for the job: gloves, PPE, etc. In fact, my federally mandated CB radio is not reimbursable. Yes folks, federally mandated to haul oversized loads, and it is not reimbursed.
4. We do not get paid for actual miles driven. Practical miles rob truckers of pay.
5. Bring of unionizing....and you get IMMEDIATELY FIRED. 6. Traffic accidents are AUTOMATICALLY the trucker's fault. The attorneys know this. Look at all the billboards of ambulance chasers looking for big payouts from accidents with trucks. The trucking companies do NOT provide legal representation for the trucker. It comes out of his money. 7. Specialized driving doesn't pay significantly more than general cargo. Yet specialized requires more skill, and is a higher risk to kill/maim other travelers and pedestrians.
I wish everyone realized the sacrifices mentioned. We only have so many staff and they have only so many hours they can work. At work everyone who can do overtime is working overtime but when you are closing in on 70 or more hours, it's just not sustainable. Grocery retail employees many retirees with underlying health conditions. Grocery retail employees many teenagers who may be limited by their parents' concerns and special needs workers with caps on their hours.
Any time I have to talk to one of the "Karens" upset we have limits on items or mouth off to one of my people exposed to sends of thousands of shoppers a week they are damn lucky I am professional and don't give them a piece of my mind.
We love it when they complain and say they'll go to our competitor because our competitor has exactly the same restrictions and supply issues we have. If that's the customer's attitude in this time of crisis, our competitors are welcome to that headache.
I'm thankful to many customers who see the panic buying and say we wouldn'y have these supply issues if people shopped as normally and those who stand up for my people when someone else acts up.
My brother in law has been a night stocker for Walmart for 20+ years. He told us today that he’s received two hefty bonuses from Walmart in the past month. He said that from what he can tell, the panic grocery buying has not depleted the suppliers, but has emptied out the Walmart warehouses. He said it’s just going to take a bit of time for the pipeline to fill up again. He’s thrilled with his job right now.
God bless him and keep him safe!
My grandson drives a cement truck, and helps to keep construction going.
“Laborare est Orare”.
To work is to pray.
Something Hollywood knows nothing about.
Roger that, Buckeye.
We appear to have grown up the same.
My folks were WWII generation tough-as-nails Depression kids from North Philly.
Dad was Airborne; his brother were Pacific vets.
Tough house to grow up in, but I thank whatever God there is every day that they raised me the way they did.
I’ve never idolized Hollywood or sports heroes. The only human being that came close for me was Neil Armstrong. He was the only guy that could say that he was the first man on the moon. What could anybody say about that.
I thanked the cashier at the grocery store. Most everyone is friendlier and most maintain social distancing. Keep safe everyone. God Bless!
Ever notice when a celebrity or politician passes they typically get memorialized by their media cousins for days? They do this purposely to keep us brainwashed to the false worth to society of these people.
Sorry I know this could be construed as cruel but IDGAS. I hate PC and the way it is used by left to muzzle and change thoughts and speech.
