Police say a disabled Texas woman shot and killed an intruder and fended off another during an attempted home invasion at her Houston apartment this past week.
Citing investigators, KHOU reported that on March 14, two teens attempted to enter the woman’s northwest Houston apartment through a patio door during a brazen, daylight home invasion.
After shattering the woman’s glass patio door, one of the would-be intruders then reached inside and attempted to unlock a door, police said.
That is when the resident reportedly fired one shot with her firearm — hitting one of the teens.
The outlet did not disclose the woman’s identity, referring to her as simply a “53-year-old disabled resident.”
She was apparently home alone during the incident.
Harris County deputies arrived at the scene and found an 18-year-old on the ground outside of the residence.
The deputies reported finding the man in the grass.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and has not been identified, KHOU reported.

I’m glad she’s didn’t get killed or injured and those idiots got exactly what they deserved.
And the other two assclowns get at least charged with murder. Of course there will probably be a “deal” made somewhere along the line. At least one of them won’t ever do it again.

Glad she’s OK. Sadly some of us look at the location to find out if she’s in trouble for defending herself or not. Thankfully she’s in Houston. If she lived in any libtopia she would probably have to get a lawyer if she would have been allowed to defend herself at all.

I’m not sure who you mean by “sorry this person...” My reaction is sorry this criminal put this invalided female in the position that she had to use force to keep him from murdering her. That’s the appropriate sorry in my opinion.
Now that “poor teen” won’t get to realize his dream of having the funds to attend medical school, become a world-renounced physician, and save all manking from the ravages of illness.
As in that she was placed in a position of having to defend herself from useless little pukes like these. Certainly glad she had the means to defend herself.
Yes, it’s shocking how little time such thugs actually serve. The idea that our prisons are full of innocent teen weed smokers is BS. We need more prisons, not more thugs released into society.
Yes, he was somebody’s angel, turning his life around, about to enroll in college, a devoted father, and she didn’t have to kill him.

In civil lawsuits which are almost routine after such incidents, plaintiff attorneys are fond of asking the defendant if he/she is sorry about the incident. It’s a trap question, since a yes or no answer results in a big point for the plaintiff. The answer you and I agree on iis the recommended one for such a devious ploy, as it puts the onus back on the puke who caused it all.
