Wuhan at the peak of the outbreak reported thousands of new cases of coronavirus infection daily, overwhelming its health care system
Last month, Wuhan was overwhelmed with thousands of new cases of coronavirus each day, but in a dramatic development that underscores just how much the outbreak has pivoted toward Europe and the United States, Chinese authorities said Thursday that the city and it's surrounding province had no new cases to report.
The news offered a rare glimmer of hope for the rest of the world as it battles the virus, and perhaps a lesson in the strict measures needed to halt its spread. It came as President Donald Trump likened the fight to "a war" and invoked emergency authority to marshal industry to deal with the pandemic.
Wuhan was where the outbreak first took hold and thousands once lay sick or dying in hurriedly constructed hospitals. But Chinese authorities said Thursday that all 34 new cases recorded over the previous day had been imported from abroad.

Chicoms started the mess, let’s see how much they can contribute to cleaning it up. Watch out, though. They might end up owning half of Europe by the time it’s over.
If you look at China as a whole, and Hong Kong by itself...it’s almost like the virus just skipped Hong Kong. Last week, the total death count in Hong Kong was around five. But there’s a totally different mentality about sanitation and hygiene in Hong Kong, compared to the rest of China.
Well sealing people up in their own homes to basically die will help stop the spread.
Nearby villages making spears to throw at anybody who tries to get in may work well too.
Hopefully we can defeat it without these tried and true measures :)

How will this country recover after all these handouts and bailouts?
What I can’t figure out is how Chinese tourists went around the world infecting the planet but Chinese tourists going from Wuhan throughout the country for Chinese New Year didn’t infect any place outside of Wuhan. They are either lying or they have an antidote. It may sound crazy but I wouldn’t put it past the Chinese to sacrifice one city in order to make it look like they are suffering as badly as the rest of the world.

But many people who traveled to Hong Kong were found later to be infected. Fake numbers?
That would make quite a story: Suppose the government of China secretly manufactured a new virus and its cure. Then it released the virus worldwide, bringing the world to its knees, so that it could sell the cure at an enormous profit. OK, maybe I’ve watched too many movies.

The Chinese are known for playing the long game while the USA doesn’t seem to think past the next earnings report. If they could cripple the USA the suffering of a few million of their own citizens is an acceptable choice.
Once Covid was finally acknowledged by China the people of Hong Kong took it upon themselves to do what they could to avoid it. You have to remember that many of the older Hong Kongers lived through SARS and didn’t want to see it happen again.
For a few weeks the number of infected, in Hong Kong, stood around 120. Now, it’s going up. Why? Because of all the students who studied overseas are now returning back to Hong Kong. I have no idea if the death count will also go up. Have to wait and see.

China has been on lockdown since early February but the west is only beginning to lockdown now. And you had workers from Wuhan on direct flights to Italy to work on textile factories. The rest is easy to figure out.
Reality has been put through a wood chipper.
