Across the country, Americans are literally shining a light amid the darkness of the coronavirus pandemic.
Nearly three months after Christmas, people practicing social distancing at home are putting their lights back up to help lift everyones spirits as the country fights through the crisis.
What if we all put our Christmas lights back up? Lane Grindle, a play-by-play broadcaster for the Milwaukee Brewers, tweeted Sunday. Then we could get in the car and drive around and look at them. That seems like a fair social distancing activity.

Just great. The ONE year I take down the lights before Easter....
Things people do when they are bored!!

My wife put up a Christmas wreath on the front door yesterday to cheer her up.

You win, Vlad
I have seen this. I think it’s a great idea.
I just haven’t got around to taking them down yet..
I love the idea, the electric utilities have been trying to figure out how to keep their revenue up with all these businesses shutting down. I hope they gave the employee who came up with this idea a raise or bonus at least.
LOL. That’s funny. :D
I had to leave my house in January before I had time to take my Christmas decorations down (a death in the family in another state).
I did not return to my home until March. I still wanted to share Christmas with family at my home - which do to various persons travels we had not done. I first told them I’d leave Christmas up at my house until we had Christmas together at my house.
Last week I decided to leave the decorations up for the duration of the present “crisis”.
Neighbors have commented. As they drive up a connecting street to get to our little street, they are almost facing my house, with it’s big picture window, and still the lit Christmas tree in view.
LOL
