A poll by the nonpartisan Jewish Electoral Institute (JEI) in late February, when it still seemed that Bernie Sanders was the Democratic frontrunner, found that Sanders “would overwhelmingly outperform US President Donald Trump with Jewish voters in a head-to-head match-up this fall”—to the tune of 65% to 30%.
This was despite the fact of “only 52% of American Jews having a favorable view of Sanders and 45% having an unfavorable view of him.”
Presumably, that relatively low approval rate reflected—at least in part—the fact that Sanders had called Israel’s government racist, called for cutting aid to Israel, and “surrounded himself with antisemitic surrogates, allies and advisers, including Linda Sarsour, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Cornel West, James Zogby and others.”
And yet—notwithstanding that considerable dislike—Sanders, for American Jews, came in only slightly behind the other Democratic candidates at the time: “Buttigieg would [defeat Trump] 69% to 31%; Bloomberg 67% to 28%; Biden 67% to 31%; and Warren 65% to 32%.”
And all that was notwithstanding the fact that Trump has racked up a dramatically pro-Israel record that includes: moving the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem; refusing to fund the Palestinians’ pay-for-slay policy; recognizing Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights; proposing a peace plan that takes Israel’s security into account and is endorsed by both Prime Minister Netanyahu and opposition leader Benny Gantz; and—I would add—ceasing to make Israel a constant focus of public criticism and instead expressing friendship and appreciation.
And to all that must be added—though not a policy dealing specifically with Israel—the stringent economic pressures Trump has imposed on Iran and, indirectly, on its proxies, with results that have made Israel’s neighborhood, for now, much less hazardous to it.

In order to change parties one must first admit that his political ideas are wrong. Most people would rather die than admit even to themselves that they are wrong.

No surprise here, throughout history some folks never get it. They’ve been, for a large part, on the side of progressive, socialist, communists.

Even though Israel is again a nation, they returned in unbelief of their Messiah. Therefore they are basically an ungodly nation. That means they are perfectly comfortable being Trump haters because right and left is like good and bad. Without God as a moral compass you are lost in more ways than one.
Historically there has been much Jewish support for left-wing parties, but they aren't crying out for Bernie Sanders.
Republicans are associated with the majority culture, so those feel themselves to be a minority, outsiders, or marginal may vote Democrat. So it is with Jews, Blacks, Latinos, and Asians. So it was with Southerners and Catholics. Catholics in Britain and Australia and Protestants in France, likewise tend to vote left as way of indicating that they feel like they don't entirely belong.
There are many “variants” o adherence to Mosaic law and practice in the Judaic faith, such as “observant” and “non observant” Jews referring o adherence to dietary and other requirements set out in the Torah and other foundations of their faith
Kind of like RiNOS, they claim the Republican mantle but underneath they are like ships without a rudder unless and until it benefits them in a “come and get me” kind of mindset.

To many the claim of Jewish is a means to fit in and be part of the group who use it to join the inner group and use the claim to get a place at the trough. Hypocrites of the first water. Hollywood has been infested with “Jewish” members since the first days of it’s creation. I a not in any way Anti Semitic, my stepbrother’s mother was from a long line going back to Russia and other locations in Europe and many of the elders still had the tattooed numbers on their arms from Death Camps. In closing Jewish people come n many varieties, they are not uniform in adherence or practice to the faith. And the actions of the ones here in the US by and large aligns with the greed and power factor as all the “goyim” (us) are here to be milked like cows as they profit from it

They like their ancient ancestors laugh and roll on, thinking by claiming to be a “Jew” is like an inoculation against punishment for their actions here on Earth to the “others”
Prophecy (in numerous Books) says the Messiah will be rejected or denied even by his own people, except for the end of times when they saw who they had pierced and were sad.
The Jews are still the Almighty’s chosen people.
Because they don’t except the redemption offered to them, they choose (right now at least) to live by the Laws. So, they will be judged by the Laws.
Doesn’t make them wrong for being the way God expected them to. Doesn’t make them evil for loving God the way they do.
Remember, judge the way you want to be judged.
Because the Democrats let them believe they have standing and power in the party. So it makes them feel secure to have the ability to change things or speak up and be heard.
Just like with the Black population, for years and years they were told they have power in the Democrat party. But now many a waking up and realizing that’s just not true. They’ve been enslaved and taken for granted.
The Jewish population is coming around.
Which is why I refer to them as JINOs. Jewish in name only.

I’m unclear how American Jews would feel they “don’t belong,” considering their prominence in the financial, medical, legal and academia fields. Further, as the story states, Trump is the biggest supporter of Israel in a generation. And as far as not crying out for Bernie Sanders, 65% support is rather loud. One would think by now they’d get the hint the leftists in this country are far more amenable to supporting Muslims than Jews.
I didn't mean that Jews feel like they don't belong in America, but that they didn't feel like they belonged to the majority culture. It's cultural. The GOP is seen as the (Protestant) Christian party, and Jews don't identify with that.

In Florida, Biden got 61% of Jews and Sanders got 22%. If they were crying out for anybody it wasn't Sanders.
When I was with a rent-a-rig oil company, I became friends of a tough old Sabra, who had been through the 1948 war and had little respect for the American Jews who were Leftists. He called them "Oven Jews" - I guess because of those who blindly went on the trains. It was a subject I didn't want to go into detail with him.
