Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered all nonessential businesses in Nevada to close. Casinos and gaming operations are included in the order, to be closed by midnight Tuesday. This includes every casino and gaming operation in the state of Nevada.

Perhaps these drastic measures are needed...but aren’t people the least little bit concerned that a politician can order businesses to shutdown or curtail their operating hours....I wonder under what law this is allowed..
It’s not just liberal Governors, here in Florida, DeSantis yesterday ordered all bars to shut down for 30 days....you wonder how many will come back after this is all over.

I don’t understand the bar/alcoholic beverage store bias in closing down. I don’t drink, but I see no reason to preferentially just shut those down.

I’m sure there is some “emergency” enabling legislation that lets politicos stomp all over our rights. (They love open-ended laws like that.) I assume the Supreme Court will have to decide if limits were exceeded or not.
Or we could launch CWII and hang them all. That would work too.
A politician? They are following the recommendations of the Federal task force. Stop blaming the state and local guys when they are following phase 2c of the Whitehouse plan.
Man, the whole stinking world has closed down. I have had some doctor’s offices calling and putting off a couple of appointments I had in the next couple of weeks and rescheduled until April or May. I wonder what Dentist offices are doing, closing down? Our church announced last night we were closed until April or further notice and we are a small church. ALL in Alabama were asked to shut down until this is over. We have started to pile up the cases now, but the mass is in Birmingham, with other counties having a few scattered cases. Bham is the problem since it is the largest city and county.
