Tom Cotton wants full national shutdown
Breitbart ^ | 3/16/20 | Hannah Bleau

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) on Monday called for the United States to take more drastic measures to address the Chinese coronavirus pandemic, including a national “shutdown” that would only exclude “absolutely essential work” and stipends to affected workers to assist them in paying their bills as the pandemic continues to unfold across the globe.

“The time has come for extraordinary measures to combat the Chinese coronavirus. What seems extreme today will seem obvious tomorrow,” Cotton, an outspoken skeptic of the House’s relief package, said on Monday.

“What seems extreme today will seem obvious tomorrow...”

No, it won’t, because we won’t know what it could have been, idiot.

No, he isn’t, and never really was.

This would suggest that Tom Cotton is a lilly-livered, posturing, pandering, over-ambitious puke who’s short a full load in the head.

Tom has contracted covid hysteria a disease almost as uncurable as liberalism.

Somewhere Obama is thinking “why didn’t I think of a viro-based panic driven country-wide shut-down???” Imagine the wealth distribution he could of made.

‘I just don’t see DJT prevailing’

against Joe Biden, he could just as easily succeed as be defeated; right now I see Biden garnering 248 EV’s, with Trump at 204, time will tell about the swing votes...

Are you implying that it should go to the President? I’ve been listening to the news conf and think the reporters are contenders, not the President.

Does Trump not understand that he is cutting his own throat with this? This is the first negative remark I have expressed towards the president. I’ve never seen anything like this.

Neither have I. I was on board with the disease being serious, but this is just madness. They are WILLFULLY destroying this economy. And the President doesn’t seem to be in control anymore.

“I wonder what they are hearing in their classified briefings and why has none of that leaked yet?”

Likely something that we’re really better off not knowing. Besides the benefit of having time to ‘get our affairs in order’, how does knowing something really ugly is heading our way make things better? As it is, toilet paper and paper towels have vanished from store shelves—and I’m living in a state with 6 cases of Wuhan virus. I can’t imagine the stores in the Seattle area.

I’ve read that we’re about two weeks behind Italy on the ‘curve’. Hopefully, we’ll be better able to cope that Italy has. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Every leader has been knocked over by this.

The good news is Trump has the chance to lead during the reboot of the world economy.

I think the right idea is for Trump to focus on economic matters, while Pence leads the medical front. Those are the perfect roles for those two men.

And while I didn’t have much of opinion of Pence before this, he’s shot up to my choice for 2024.

I expect daily conference calls with G7 leaders to plan for the aftermath. This is where Trump can really shine. It’s going to take a coordinated global effort to get the economies restarted. And Trump is just the man to lead it.
