Hours after it happened on Saturday, White House correspondents were still discussing intently what several called the incident: a Chinese correspondent from the state-run CGTN television network was the lone reporter barred from a White House briefing on that afternoon after he was found to be running a high temperature.
The taking of temperatures for reporters as a requirement to enter the briefing as well as the refusal of admission for the Chinese correspondent made as much news as anything said at the briefing by Vice President Mike Pence and the members of Coronavirus Task Force, including a short appearance by President Trump.
Before allowed entrance to the White House Briefing Room, correspondents were required to have their temperatures taken by someone from the White House Physicians office.
All reporters passed the test except the correspondent from the English-language CGTN. According to several reports, he was tested three times but each time was found to be running a temperature of 100.4 degreesfar above the 98.6 degrees that the Center for Disease Control considers normal.
Questioned by reporters, Pence and other members of the Task Force all said they had their temperatures taken before they entered the Briefing Room.
Asked by reporters what his temperature was, President Trump replied as he left the briefing: Normal.

RACIST Trump!
Arrest the Chinese agent for attempted assassination.
Duh! Glad they are scanning now.
How soon before the “media” starts parroting that?
I tell ya, ChiComs are trying to spread it so they don’t look bad in comparison.
It really seems that way.
The propaganda war is on for sure with frontmen like Jack “misshapen-head” Ma grandstanding their nonsense.
Press corp needs requirement of blowing the tube (alcohol) daily, and weekly drug tests

"And he went for that heathen Chinee."
Press briefing should NOT be conducted at the white house - period. They should be conducted elsewhere and by invitation only.
Further, the WH press staff should have a web page that allows ordinary Americans to post questions. The press staff should review, consolidate and normalize the wording of those questions. Once consolidated the top 3 questions should be addressed along with any other the President would like to address. The press briefing should be live on the Internet, recorded and made available through the web site.
The press briefing should follow this broad agenda.

The good thing about this mini-hoax-hype is that, while “they” can lie and call anything (or nothing) COVID-19 for political purposes, so can we. “You’re a Chinese guy? Oh, darn. You’re testing positive. Buh-BYE!”
Another typhoid Mary.....
This was a Red Chinese biowarfare attack on PDJT.
That is a fantastic idea. The normal public would ask better questions than the political press.
Thanks, Captain Obvious!
Unfortunately, they still have White House aides screaming "Let's go, let's go" at the press people after a presser is over. Allowing the loud clacking of motor driven cameras almost drowning out the voices of POTUS and other Heads of State is ridiculous as well.
Sorry, wrong thread.
Impeachment is the ONLY remedy for this. Get Schiff n’ Nancy on the horn.
