Well I am home and, hopefully, safe.
I will never quite understand the hysteria over this virus but I’d argue the hysteria is more contagious than the virus.
But hey, I’m no better than anybody else. I hear older people must be careful and are more likely to die so I pull the covers over my head and my nails are chipped but to have someone putting their fingers all over my hands? Especially when those people are Vietnamese which means nothing perhaps but their eyes are slanted.
I’m just saying.
The Catholic church has been all over the place. The Pope shut down the Vatican then re-opened it. My church closed all activity through end of March EXCEPT for mass.
I was going to go yesterday, all brave like, but at last minute, since notification that we won’t go to hell for missing mass this week, I decided to stay home.
New York Catholic churches closed their masses.
Hey, we’ll get through this.
We are so lucky....imagine if Hillary were in charge. For one thing she’d be the first to catch the virus and die. But before she’d promise everyone free paychecks for life.
We have a good leader although I strongly suspect this over-reaction is planned to make President Trump look bad.

My online friend Jeffrey Satinover compared the President to an ultrasonic whistle “that cause all of the vermin to rush frantically out of their hiding holes, and you suddenly realize how infested the place is.” This week’s presser was a masterstroke that exposed the lie of socialism versus capitalism, central power versus federal systems with its diffusion of power and responsibility, and the effects of a dynamic leader versus conventional ones. In the process, we can see how Trump’s fight against open borders, bureaucratic red tape, and globalized production is a critical part of national health and security.

Watched Bombshell last night. All about the takedown of Roger Allies at Fox. Some interesting aspects to story and character selections to portray the various news personalities.
If Allies did this stuff he was a sleaze , and deserved to go , but the news environment of get their at any cost gets a little downplayed in the takedown focus.
Subltle but direct digs at Jude J and Kimberly G as Allies supporters and some others like Hannity and a wimpy Neil Cavuto.
Charlize Theron does a good Megan Kelly act pulling of her mannerisms and personality.
You gotta wonder how we got through the last decade with major virus hitting the country every year,was it luck or just common sense?

I don't know if anyone has seen the tweet posted by Adam Housely, but it had some resonance for me given my personal experience with what I thought was a touch of the flu in mid to late December. I religiously get the flu shot annually and have not had the flu for a long time. This time it was different, a strange, short lived illness that seemed to mimic some of the symptoms of the coronavirus.

that if it’s true that China knew of CoronaVirus in early November, the likelihood that it has already run through parts of this country is massive. Meaning we are way past testing and mitigation. It also means we may...may...have moved through it in parts of the U.S.
Again..this is very cautious optimism. The first responders I spoke with and several doctors say that flu was rough this winter and many people with very similar symptoms to Covid were sent home to recover. Did they already have it? Has it already been thru here?
Thus the rough flu season we’ve experienced already. These are all questions we will know answers to soon enough. I suggest to my colleagues in the media, these are the questions and investigations we should be doing/asking. Politics aside for a couple of weeks. Try it.
Housely is a real journalist. There are a lot of questions about the coronavirus and its strange, uneven spread globally. China, Iran, and Northern Italy are the hot spots.
