President Trump announced he took the coronavirus test on Friday night and is awaiting results.
As the White House Coronavirus Task Force gave a press conference on Saturday, Trump told reporters that he decided to take the test in response to Friday's press conference where the president declared a state of national emergency.
"By the way, I had my temperature taken coming into the room," Trump prefaced his statement to reporters. "I also took the test last night. And I decided I should based on the press conference yesterday."
After declaring a national emergency to combat the pandemic on Friday, Trump was asked by a reporter if it was "selfish" not to be tested for the coronavirus, potentially putting others at the risk of infection."I didn't say I wasn't going to be tested," he said.
"Are you going to be?" a reporter asked.
"Most likely, yeah. Most likely. Not for that reason, but because I think I will do it anyway," the president said.
Asked when the test would happen, Trump said, "Fairly soon. We're working out a schedule."

If true this would be a blessing in disguise since it would help calm people down by showing that a healty 70+ year old man could get though it with mild symptoms, and would also take questions about Trump's health off the table in the fall ...

Even if he gets it the man is in obviously great health and would not likely die from it. The man is an Energizer Bunny and only a guy with a great immune system could be exposed to as many people as he is an not once to my memory ever getting sick.

One reporter, misfed that reporters were temperature tested before being allowed to participate in today’s obnoxious grilling of POTUS, asked if all the cabinet members had been temperature tested before meeting with POTUS.
Why yes, yes they had been.
I want a daily report of which reporters have symptoms, and the measure they have taken to isolate themselves from the public. This information should be on a website for easy public access.

He also announced he has no symptoms.
And we were told that SK and US tests show that of symptomatic people tested, so far 2-3% of them are infected with Corona No. 19. The majority have symptoms on account of being infected with something other than Corona No. 19.
