(WOAY) Gov. Jim Justice has announced that he is closing all schools due to the threat of coronavirus.
This is in effect until further notice.
Gov. Justice says, Weve got a monster that is looming, but the monster is not here. Every single one of us believes the monster is coming to some degree.
Justice says he concluded because he has experience in the school system, usually as a coach.

Soon it will be dozens of states. I alternate between thinking it will be an epic disaster, and a H1Ni level disaster...
Why not declare martial law? That’s what the Democrats really want.
Here in my one horse town my Dollar General sold out of TP yesterday. People were coming in and were like “Oh for cry it out loud”.
I’ve been buying it along for a couple of weeks.
I’m headed over to B. Springs here shortly so now I don’t have to wait for the buses to come out of the lot.
The no horse/one light town nearest me is set to get a DG soon.
We’re all so excited.
:D
WV is the only state on the eastern seaboard to not have any (known) cases of COVID-19. Interesting that they have shut down schools
As of yesterday, WV had no reported cases.
What I am reading is the time to close public schools is when there are diagnosed cases in or near your locality.
Optimally, you want to close them before there is any diagnosis within the school system, whether that be staff or students.
The man is a buffoon, obviously.
STOP THE MINDLESS HYSTERIA!!!!!
Soon I’ll see whether or not all this has put a dent in the insane weekend westbound 70 traffic.
/doubt it
We went to two Walmarts, a Target, and a Kroger. Each were devoid of toilet paper and paper towels, all but Target had their bottled water totally gone, with very little water left there, too.
Its like everyone has no idea of how to prepare, outside of the bottled bleach each store was also devoid of.
We wont lose electricity or water. If infected, you wont go through vast sums of paper products even if quarantined for three months because your use will be normal. This isnt a hurricane or a gastrointestinal disease.
At least everyone was behaving nicely.
Earlier in the day, I had visited a Sams Club and a Costco, which still had limited inventory of everything.
Strange days.
“STOP THE MINDLESS HYSTERIA!!!!!”
It’s snowflake world now. Every politician (except Democrats; the media will cover for them) and corporate suit is scared shitless about what will happen to them if they fail to panic maximally.
Why is he doing this?
It just occurred to me that maybe they're the ones stockpiling the TP.
“Never let a crisis go to waste.” That’s political lesson #2, right after, “People are easily duped.”
Trump is listening to “experts”, whose only fear is that they will be accused one day of “downplaying” this Wuhan flu.
Yeah, an anecdotal means of measuring the health of the economy is by observing the truck traffic on the interstates. Driving I-85 and I-26 in the Carolinas is still white knuckle.
