Russian President Vladimir Putin wants marriage to be defined as the union of a man and woman in a revised constitution, ruling out gay marriage.
It is among several constitutional amendments proposed by Mr Putin, which are set to be put to a public vote.
Critics see the proposals as a move by Mr Putin to keep a hold on power after his presidential term ends in 2024.
The package includes a proclamation of Russians' faith in God and a ban on giving away any Russian territory.

I remember when America was a Christian country and Russia was Godless.
Well if it’s not specifying a religion then I think it’s a great idea to put God in it.
Marriage between a man and a woman has more to do with NATURE than any specific religion.
I don’t trust the guy. I don’t like that he aids countries that kill our men, directly or indirectly, and I’m disappointed that he still thinks the collapse of the USSR was the greatest tragedy of the 20th century.
But he loves his country and even if he doesn’t really believe (i dont know) he DOES KNOW that without Christianity, Russia has no chance.
Sure, he would say ANYTHING to be in charge again.
What he REALLY, REALLY wants is to be Czar Vladimir.

In most cases, that’s where our leaders have sent our men and resources on destructive fool’s missions - like the Obama/Hillary/McCain quest to overthrow Syria. Yes, Russia has sided with the Syrian government, and many of the Syria people - including probably all of its Christians - are grateful for that. They’re grateful the US-supported jihadis haven’t been able to take over.
No not that situation.
I’m talking about Iran and Syria directly and indirectly going into Iraq while we were there and damaging quite a large number of our men.
Russia knows every move these two countries made and I’m quite sure supported it.
In syria, Putin kept isis at bay until we got a Real President to finish the job.
He didn’t do it for us but I am GLAD he did it.
And WTH ARE our men doing in ANY of these places to begin with??

He knows that godless and gay aren’t good for society. He’s known that since his KGB days when they were busy attacking America from within with the help of idiotic democrats.
Say what you will about Putin, but the values he espouses are more in tune with what used to be western civilization and reality than the culture rot and delusions we have going in this country.
This is Putin’s 2016 Christmas message to the nation. I wish our politicians talked like this.

Yes, that is quite the question. What was up with that? Iraq made no sense at all. Afghanistan did while they still harbored bin Laden but not after that. None of the official narrative makes sense. “Blood for Oil” and “Fite em over thar so we haveta fite em over here” is also obviously fake. Over there problems for over there people. They need to stay over there. All of them.
Hmmmmm. So much for Russia being Magog.
