Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie are in self-isolation after she fell ill and was tested for the new coronavirus, while school was canceled in Ontario to limit the spread of the outbreak.
In a major blow to hockey-obsessed Canadians, the National Hockey League (NHL) suspended the rest of the season due to the outbreak. Health authorities also recommended canceling the World Women’s Curling Championship due to start Saturday in British Columbia.
With the Canadian dollar at a four-year low against its U.S. counterpart and stocks plunging globally, the Bank of Canada announced the expansion of its bond buyback and term repo operations to inject liquidity into the market.
The 48-year-old Liberal leader is exhibiting no symptoms and will continue to work from home until he gets the results of his wife’s test, his office said.
Trudeau’s face-to-face meetings with provincial premiers scheduled for Thursday and Friday will instead be held by phone.
“Having recently returned from a speaking engagement in London, UK, the prime minister’s wife Sophie Gregoire Trudeau began exhibiting mild flu-like symptoms including a low fever late last night,” the prime minister’s office said.
“She immediately sought medical advice, and is being tested for the COVID-19 virus. She is self-isolating at home awaiting test results, and her symptoms have since subsided.”
As of Wednesday, Canada had just over 100 confirmed cases, more than double the number from a week ago. With Manitoba, New Brunswick and Saskatchewan reporting their first presumptive cases in the past 24 hours, seven of Canada’s 10 provinces have recorded COVID-19 contagion.

Something I am rather expecting is that huge numbers of people will test positive for this virus and almost all will have either mild symptoms or remain “asymptomatic” which will further increase speculation that this is some sort of engineered pandemic designed to target a certain demographic.
Given the timing and the outrage felt in Beijing about the arrest of the Huawei executive, I think we should be open to viewing this as no accident. One of the least (widely) understood facts of modern life is the absolute viciousness and callous nature of the Chinese regime. Would they do something like this? Well they harvest organs from political prisoners. You tell me.

TIN FOIL HAT TIME - The trade war with China was/is hurting them. This is similar (in the broadest sense of the word) to the 1930s and the Japan US relationship. We put an embargo on Japan and they decided that war was the only option they had left. We all know how that turned out for them.
Fast forward to 2020 and the Chinese are beginning to feel the pain of the trade war. They know that a real military conflict is a losing proposition so they have to figure another way - biological weapon.
Few Americans know just how much we have out sourced to China and that includes medicine and medical equipment.
So they create a virus that will move so quickly it becomes a pandemic and guess who has all the medical equipment the world needs ... China.
Guess which American is going to get blamed for all this ... President Trump.
President Trump is not going to give China anything but a Democrat President will be willing to bow deeply (in exchange of funding their private foundation).
America (and the world) has been sold out by the elite one world government crowd.

I’m not worried about Trudeau. The air gap between his ears protects him from such things.
I think what you said is quite logical and yet I would imagine that few people want to entertain these theories because of the disturbing conclusions, it basically means war or acquiescence. There does not seem to be a middle option and perhaps this was always inevitable. But I would imagine that acquiescence will win out, people don’t want trouble, so they will prefer to have the trouble in the lives of countless millions they will never meet, whose existences are so unimaginable to them that they can easily be placed “out of sight, out of mind.”
I’m heading back home next Tuesday and anticipate reaching the Canadian border Thursday afternoon. If they shut down the border before then, I’m screwed.
