HOUSTON -- A 19-year-old pregnant woman from Guatemala died this week from injuries suffered when she fell trying to climb the U.S. border wall near El Paso, Texas, U.S. and Guatemalan authorities said Thursday.
Guatemala identified the woman as Mirian Stephany Girón Luna. Medical personnel tried to deliver her baby, but were unsuccessful, both governments said. The U.S. said Girón was eight months pregnant, while Guatemalan authorities said she was at seven months.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection blamed Girón's death on human smugglers who encouraged her to try to climb the wall. In a statement, Gloria Chavez, the chief for the Border Patrol’s El Paso sector, said the authorities would work with Mexico “to find those responsible for placing these lives in danger.”
CBP Acting Commissioner Mark Morgan told reporters that Girón and her partner were taken to the border by smugglers and left there in the darkness. They were attempting to climb when she fell. Border Patrol agents reached her and called medical authorities, who took her to the hospital but “tragically, the mother and the child died from their injuries from the fall,” he said.
Girón is from Guatemala’s San Marcos department, near the country’s border with Mexico. CBP says it has no record of her trying to enter the U.S. at an official port of entry or having been placed in the “Remain in Mexico” program, in which tens of thousands of migrants have been forced to pursue their immigration cases from Mexico.
Her partner remains in Border Patrol custody, according to U.S. and Guatemalan officials.

Just maybe this now dead illegal alien invader shouldn’t have put her child at risk? Just maybe? However, you would think that the leftists would like this because she did kill her unborn child. The leftists have done that to tens of million of unborn children in America.

Long run, though, I think of the huge potential for life saving. So many of those brought over with the illegal invader swarms are young children meant for the sex slave market.
So, imo, lining a few hundred illegals up at the wall and shooting them dead as a real warning to the rest would still be way more benefit than horror.

We don’t even need to worry about a felony murder rule. An attempt to bring a person into the US illegally resulting in death is a capital offense under 8 U.S.C. § 1324(a)(1)(B)(iv). DOJ does seek the death penalty when prosecuting this offense, and did so even during the Obama Administration.
I remember a case in 2015 where a woman trying to swim across the Brownsville Shipping Channel at night was killed when a Coast Guard boat hit her. The coyote (who I think was her cousin) was arrested and charged under section 1324, and the Obama DOJ sought the death penalty. He ultimately plea-bargained to a long sentence (I don’t remember, but it might have been life).
She should have gone about it the right way instead of breaking the law. It would probably be an easier trek to go to a check point and apply for immigration. They would both be alive. Democrats should stop encouraging them to come in illegally.
I doubt the wall is on the actual boarder. It is more likely a couple of feet inside. Don’t see Mexico giving permission for the workers to be on their side while building it. If that is the case then would a child born at the base of it be considered a US citizen?

They say this like it’s a bad thing. She was coming here to steal from the overburdened taxpayers. To hell with her. More of them should die. Nobody forced her to come although I suspect the Catholic Church had a hand in convincing her to come. If she wasn’t trying to steal from the US taxpayers she’d still be alive.

It’s child when the MSM wants it to be. But, if she had crossed into the border and gotten an abortion, it would have only been a fetus.
