Trudeau, wife Sophie in self-isolation awaiting COVID-19 test as meeting with premiers is called off

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife Sophie are in self-isolation as she awaits COVID-19 test results.

Meanwhile, a meeting between Trudeau, the premiers and Indigenous leaders that was scheduled to begin in Ottawa today has been postponed indefinitely in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

"Having recently returned from a speaking engagement in London, U.K., the Prime Minister's wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau began exhibiting mild flu-like symptoms including a low fever late last night," says a PMO press release.

"She is self-isolating at home awaiting test results, and her symptoms have since subsided.

His wife apparently had ‘flu-like’ symptoms after returning from speaking in the UK, so they decided to ‘self-isolate’. Sure, I believe that! I also believe in unicorns and leprechauns! To me, this sounds so much like the ULTIMATE in virtue signaling! If it REALLY is true, I wish them all the best. Don’t forget though, that the Lieberal mantra is, ‘Never let a crisis go to waste.’ Don’t forget that he would have been under heavy fire from almost all the Provincial Premiers at the First Ministers’ meeting, scheduled to start this AM in Ottawa. Instead, it is postponed and will be a ‘teleconference’ after the Premiers all get home.

Some may have hoped that Justin(e) had chosen ‘self-immolation’ rather than ‘self-isolation’. Not I. He needs to face up to his ‘Peter Pan-ness’ and start acting like a man instead of a 47 year old spoiled little boy!

Canada has...or,at least,had until very recently...huge numbers of Chinese entering through Vancouver. Canada,the US and Australia are the three countries where rich Chinese are trying to hide their money away in safe places.It's easy to imagine Canada having a fairly serious virus problem brewing.

I've read...more than once...that many,many rich Chinese are trying to get money out of China.Perhaps to avoid taxes...perhaps to have it in a stable,non-corrupt country....perhaps with the hope of getting a Western passport.They're mainly buying real estate in Vancouver,San Francisco and Sydney (Australia).
