Three points:
1) Washington got sick just into his first term; if he had died, and Adams had become president (lacking the prestige of Washington), our whole system of government might never have gained acceptance.
However, the whole nation prayed for him, and, even though he had already lost the power of speech, he recovered.
2) He should distance himself from all visitors, especially foreign heads of state AND THEIR STAFFS; and
3) Yes, I could well believe that the deep state would be willing to try to remove him in this way, by getting someone close enough to contaminate him. (Lincoln was likely given smallpox by a southern woman sympathizer who deliberately kissed him repeatedly when she knew she had the illness)

Yep, I’m definitely not on the fear monger side of this debate, but I agree he should trim back these meetings, and stop shaking hands. I know he naturally hates hand shakes, but accepted the tradition as part of the job. Now is a good time to resume his germophobia.
Even more embarrassing than Trump or Pence getting covid-19 would be if they got it and spread it to others. Lets hope the WH acts smart and doesn’t give the dems any needless ammo.
