Are you in the market for a new car? Do you hate men? Did you think Captain Marvel was a really good movie and still write Tumblr posts about it? Are you a white professional-class woman between the ages of 21-35, living in a coastal city? Well then, Nissan has got the automobile for you....Thats quite a niche market.

As an added bonus, the car will transport all your cats quite comfortably!

I guess since Subaru has the butch dyke market cornered Nissan is going for the equally repugnant fem dyke market.

If you need to explain your ad, you have failed. If you market your ad specifically to gals, don’t be surprised when it craters with dudes. Seriously. Didn’t Chyrsler do that with a Roadster and Celine Dion?

There were two dykes in my group at work in the late 80s. I hardly ever saw them as we worked in different cities. No one ever told me they were dykes but it was just obvious.
One was attractive and the other not. They both drove Subaru’s. For some reason I got the idea that it was a lesbian car. Now I am sure.

Does identifying as a male lesbian allow one to drive a Subaru?

Subaru attracted that market by having the first lesbian couple car ad.

Actually, if someone would give me a Subaru, I wouldn’t care.
It just seemed odd that both lesbians drove Subaru’s.

I have the lesbian stigma attaches and sticks, because Subarus are great cars, and I’d like to buy one cheap.
Yeah, my wife and I are both past Volvo drivers. What about it?

Not all by any means. I drive a Subaru and love it, but I am definitely on the right side of the fence!

Interestingly, Nissan's lane-monitoring system as part of their new car safety suite has actually been highly rated for its ability to "read" lane markings on freeways. The only one supposedly better is Tesla's Autopilot system.

Brie Larson reminds me of Elizabeth Warren with better looks.

Well, has any male brought a Nissan in the past 10 years?
So I guess they know their market,
Now if a Ford pick up truck commercial did this....

Also the name Subaru might have something to do with it. It is the Japanese name for the Pleiades star cluster. Pleiades comes from the Greek myths and refers to Seven Sisters. Take what you will from that.

Then Brie Larson shows up and tells you to get in her car for some reason, drives recklessly while listing the vehicle's features.... In a Nissan Sentra? If the woman thinks her career was going slow, wait till she puts her foot down in one of those.
To: Rummyfan
Apparently, they only need 50% of the population as potential customers.
I’ll stick with my F-150...
