Blaming Trump for this is like blaming Reagan for Chernobyl.
The over hype from the media is akin to pulling fire alarms when there is no fire, a crime.
Maybe if Reagan had shared more of our nuclear technology with the Russians, as Clinton later did, Chernobyl wouldn’t have happened.
/S, of course
Take away the media narrative about this virus, and nobody would notice anything different about their lives.
Oh believe me, there are plenty Lefties that blame Reagan’s increasing military spending, which forced the Russians to increase their military spending and cutting back on safety in their nuclear plants, thus causing Chernobyl.
Wow.
Anybody for NAGASAKI?
Open Letter to the world from an infectious disease specialist about Covid-19:

Im a doctor and an Infectious Diseases Specialist. Ive been at this for more than 20 years seeing sick patients on a daily basis. I have worked in inner city hospitals and in the poorest slums of Africa. HIV-AIDS, Hepatitis,TB, SARS, Measles, Shingles, Whooping cough, Diphtheria...there is little I havent been exposed to in my profession. And with notable exception of SARS, very little has left me feeling vulnerable, overwhelmed or downright scared.
I am not scared of Covid-19. I am concerned about the implications of a novel infectious agent that has spread the world over and continues to find new footholds in different soil. I am rightly concerned for the welfare of those who are elderly, in frail health or disenfranchised who stand to suffer mostly, and disproportionately, at the hands of this new scourge. But I am not scared of Covid-19.
What I am scared about is the loss of reason and wave of fear that has induced the masses of society into a spellbinding spiral of panic, stockpiling obscene quantities of anything that could fill a bomb shelter adequately in a post-apocalyptic world. I am scared of the N95 masks that are stolen from hospitals and urgent care clinics where they are actually needed for front line healthcare providers and instead are being donned in airports, malls, and coffee lounges, perpetuating even more fear and suspicion of others.
I am scared that our hospitals will be overwhelmed with anyone who thinks they probably dont have it but may as well get checked out no matter what because you just never know... and those with heart failure, emphysema, pneumonia and strokes will pay the price for overfilled ER waiting rooms with only so many doctors and nurses to assess.
I am scared that travel restrictions will become so far reaching that weddings will be canceled, graduations missed and family reunions will not materialize. And well, even that big party called the Olympic Games...that could be kyboshed too. Can you even imagine?
Im scared those same epidemic fears will limit trade, harm partnerships in multiple sectors, business and otherwise and ultimately culminate in a global recession.
But mostly, Im scared about what message we are telling our kids when faced with a threat. Instead of reason, rationality, openmindedness and altruism, we are telling them to panic, be fearful, suspicious, reactionary and self-interested.
Covid-19 is nowhere near over. It will be coming to a city, a hospital, a friend, even a family member near you at some point. Expect it. Stop waiting to be surprised further. The fact is the virus itself will not likely do much harm when it arrives. But our own behaviors and fight for yourself above all else attitude could prove disastrous.
I implore you all. Temper fear with reason, panic with patience and uncertainty with education. We have an opportunity to learn a great deal about health hygiene and limiting the spread of innumerable transmissible diseases in our society. Lets meet this challenge together in the best spirit of compassion for others, patience, and above all, an unfailing effort to seek truth, facts and knowledge as opposed to conjecture, speculation and catastrophizing.
Facts not fear. Clean hands. Open hearts. Our children will thank us for it.

This Corona Virus is the most over hyped thing I have heard in decades. The Media has the “Bit in their Teeth” and they are running with it 24/7. They are trying everything they can to Pin this on trump and make it stick. I am getting to the point of changing the channel or turning the TV off every time I hear the term “Corona Virus”.
They need to watch the movie Apollo 13. This will be Trump’s finest hour
That, and the absolute dearth of common sense among the populace.
Does anyone believe the media?
That’s a pretty good Lefty chain of reasoning. Let’s try a harder one: How did Reagan (or GWB) cause the nuclear plant disaster in Fukushima, Japan?
I think this will pass with few deaths in the US. But the media is shameless. They will forget how wrong they were.
And in a few months, Hurricane Abel will appear and that will be Trump’s Katrina. Until it isn’t.
But Hurricane Baker will come along and that will be Trump’s Katrina.
And don’t even get me started on Hurricane Charlie ...
Your TV clicker will break.
I wish this letter could go viral.
I watched the German Chancellor Q and A this morning. Normally, she NEVER shows up for the daily event. For past six weeks....other than a line or two here and there in passing or at events...not a single word.
So this morning? It was blunt talk...no vaccine for probably six months. No wonder drugs to get you through this. No therapy available. You people need to accept the fact that 60-percent of the population will get the virus before the vaccine arrives. Extremely blunt commentary.
Then she says....the goal for each person is simply to delay the spread to more fragile and unhealthy people, in hopes that they survive until the vaccine is manufactured and everyone gets their dose. Beyond that...get on with your lives, and do the best you can under the circumstance. There simply isn’t enough hospital space or beds, if 50,000 people a week in the nation get the virus, and 10-to-15 percent of them require beds and special medical care.
Journalists didn’t have much to say...she’s basically correct on the matter. If you were looking for all-purpose solution, it doesn’t exist.
All by design. The globalist plan is going off without a hitch. Aided by the panic pushers here.
When there are no corpses in the streets people will notice that this isn't Chernobyl after all.
