Rep. Clyburn on NPR just now: "I think when the night is over, Joe Biden will be the prohibitive favorite to win the Democratic nomination... If the night ends the way it has begun" it's time to "shut this primary down," meaning the DNC should "step in" and cancel future debates.
He says prolonging the primary process only makes it more likely that the favorite, Biden in his eyes, "gets himself into trouble" and hurts himself for the general election

No. I understand the rationale (keep the Bernie Bros in the big tent), but no way they'll have two really old guys at the top of the ticket. I think the VP pick will be relatively 'young' to offset the cadaver-like appearance of their ticket.
Biden has to be the nominee. When he loses to Trump the Ukraine hoax has fresh legs. Dems didn’t spend the last year trying to impeach Trump and covering up for Biden so they could nominate Sanders.

I agree with Rush on this one. The Democrat establishment has decided that they are much better off definitely losing in 2020 with Biden rather than possibly winning with Bernie. What they don’t want to hurt is their cushy positions and ample gravy-train.
Biden’s campaign and choice of VP from here on out are more about pre-positioning the establishment picks for 2024.
I don’t disagree that Biden will display his dementia. Sad for him.

If Joe gets the nomination he will have to go into hiding with Hunter. Both of them hiding for different reasons - Hunter because he’s a crackhead grifter trading off his old man’s name and Joe because he is suffering from dementia and does not remember he has a son.
Clyburn is asking treatment for Biden that Clyburn expects and enjoys as his birthright.
