Rep. Doug Collins (R-Ga.) on Monday announced that he would self-quarantine at his home after coming into contact with a person who later tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
The announcement makes Collins the third GOP lawmaker to say they're taking the precautionary measure. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) separately said on Sunday that they would self-quarantine until 14 days had passed since interacting with the individual at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Maryland.
“This afternoon, I was notified by CPAC that they discovered a photo of myself and the patient who has tested positive for coronavirus," Collins said in a statement. "While I feel completely healthy and I am not experiencing any symptoms, I have decided to self-quarantine at my home for the remainder of the 14-day period out of an abundance of caution."

As a Florida state representative in 2015, Gaetz sponsored an amendment with Democratic representative David Richardson to repeal Florida’s ban on adoptions by same-sex couples.
He also persuaded his father, in the Florida State Senate, to support the repeal.
This leads to a very interesting question.

This is stupid, they are just adding to the panic. If it is that infectious then it is going to go around no matter what. Our so called leaders should be setting an example by continuing day to day operations. They can take the same precautions they are recommending all of us take. Now they are going to shut down the government the same as the markets. Cowards all. The panic and way over reaction has already done more damage to our economy and society then this virus will ever do.

So far as I know, the age statistics on those who have died from COVID-19 have not been published.
My conjecture is that a very high percentage of deaths are people aged 60 years and above.
Since the majority of those 60 and above are retired, it would seem the senior citizens should self-isolate themselves for the next few weeks.
As I am in that senior citizen category, I have stopped attending group events and instead I am using the time to do a much needed spring cleaning of my garage.
Cruz probably still holds his grudge and is hoping to help hurt the president.
Bernie wants the government to pay the salary of anybody who self quarantine at home.

Funny how they’ve now doxxed TWO NY area jewish men....this guy and lawyer guy, but, not a peep about who the other suspected or confirmed cases are....no names, employer info, etc....except with these two guys (that I know of).
Well this guy actually doxxed himself in a twitter post. Didn’t mention Wuhan virus specifically. Just that he was self quarantining, which of course means Wuhan Virus.
