The President needs to borrow a tactic from the Left and start having regular fireside talks to the public, encouraging Americans to work together in their own communities, to help each other weather whatever problems mat arise--health wise or economic. The tactic should not be avoided just because the New Deal abused it.
This is very important, both tactically and strategically. It involves defeating the politics of blame & envy, with a conservative appreciation of the traditional value of the congenial community.

He's facing a enemy that can't help him visually. Trump benefited from chaos, ie illegals crossing a border, migrants storming beaches in Europe.
Covid19 isn't good visually. It's usually ambulances, and people on respirators. Visuals of quarantined houses isn't a winner. Every failure by the feds gets attention, etc. Throw in visuals coming out of Italy and other such scenes.
He looks gun shy on this one. It's hard to create a good visual when the winning is people who don't get sick, or a recovery that doesn't have a tv crew outside their home. All deaths will get attention.
