Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School will close Monday after administrators learned that a St. Louis County woman infected with the coronavirus is the older sister of a Villa Duchesne student.
Moreover, a message from the schools to parents, circulating on social media, warns that the father and sister of the infected patient attended a school father-daughter dance Saturday night at the Ritz-Carlton in Clayton. They also apparently attended a pre-dance gathering at the house of a Villa student.
St. Louis County Executive Sam Page said Sunday that the patients family had been told on Thursday to self quarantine at their home in Ladue. Page said the patients father had not followed health department instructions. Page spoke at a news conference Sunday evening.
County health officials told the man on Sunday, Page said, that he must remain in his home or they will issue a formal quarantine that will require him and the rest of his family to stay in their home by the force of law.

And hopefully burn itself out like a wildfire.
Yes, indeed!
Taiwan already fined one quarantine violator $45,000 USD (1 Million TWD).
Other provisions include penalties for those who hoard supplies such as masks - masks are being carefully rationed right now - with penalties as high as a 5 year prison sentence and $166,000 USD in fines.
Simply spreading misleading information about the virus can be punished with up the 3 years in prison and $100,000 USD in fines.
Taiwan has handled this better than any other country. Taiwan’s exposure to China is extreme, and the timing of the outbreak could have been catastrophic, right at CNY. However, limiting exposure, careful tracking of every single case, and major spread-limiting measures such as hand-sanitizer and temperature-scanners at the entrance of almost every single building (seriously, I got temperature-scanned before I went into the Nike store yesterday) have had great effect.
As of today, Taiwan has 45 confirmed cases, with no new cases reported over the weekend. Taiwan CDC has also been extremely forthcoming and direct with information: https://www.cdc.gov.tw/En
Agreed, formal quarantine should be the norm.
Wasn’t a formal quarantine.
It was a “voluntary” quarantine. So I doubt the law will apply.
Shame.

Interesting link.
Off the wall question.
How are Taiwanese, culturally, with respect to sun exposure? Do y’all hide from the sun, or do you get it when you’re out and think nothing more of it, or do some people deliberately seek to sun themselves like lizards on a rock (I would be the latter if I weren’t afraid I’d look like an old purse)
Remember HIPPA is designed to protect infected people from being outed. Another AIDS legacy of the Hollywood and political elite. AIDS, the virus with civil rights.
At which point he should show up at the courthouse to contest the order.
“Italys medical system is overwhelmed.”
We knew this might happen. They needed to focus enough resources on it to stamp it out and it looks like they failed. Every time containment fails it puts extra stress on the rest.
Don’t think the “but flu bros” will figure it out until their hospital fails and they are roaming the streets begging for cat food. I’d like to keep them ignorant and obnoxious in their superiority to the rest of us but I don’t see it happening.
The liberal entitled class won’t be the only ones breaking quarantine.
Jerks. I hope someone does sue them. I wouldn’t think about going out and exposing anyone. I don’t understand such an irresponsible attitude. Bad enough the daughter exposed everyone on the plane and on Amtrak - now this?
And I have a Dr. Appt. in St. Louis next month, and the daughter went to the hospital that we generally get transferred to if we go to the local ER.
If there’s a lot more cases, I am going to reschedule the Dr. Appt.
Seems basic logistics is being left out or I'm missing something
Due to COVID-19 all TCP apps are being converted to UDP

"full China"
?
And tjis is how disease spreads
Yep, that and open borders globalism.
On another note a law in NY and I’m sure in other mentally disturbed rat controlled states, A person with the aids virus can no longer be held legally responsible in transmitting the disease to his or her unknowing victims.
