Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School will close Monday after administrators learned that a St. Louis County woman infected with the coronavirus is the older sister of a Villa Duchesne student.
Moreover, a message from the schools to parents, circulating on social media, warns that the father and sister of the infected patient attended a school father-daughter dance Saturday night at the Ritz-Carlton in Clayton. They also apparently attended a pre-dance gathering at the house of a Villa student.
St. Louis County Executive Sam Page said Sunday that the patients family had been told on Thursday to self quarantine at their home in Ladue. Page said the patients father had not followed health department instructions. Page spoke at a news conference Sunday evening.
County health officials told the man on Sunday, Page said, that he must remain in his home or they will issue a formal quarantine that will require him and the rest of his family to stay in their home by the force of law.

Italy’s medical system is overwhelmed.

Once the 60,000 ventilators are in use in the U.S., they’ll just leave people at home to die. Worse, like China, they’ll board up the doors to your apartment.
I support caning a lot of people...that and hanging.
What you want to talk about now? : )
Actually looked it up.
It’s a class A misdemeanor in Missouri to break quarantine.
“Class A Misdemeanor up to one year in jail; a fine not to exceed two thousand dollars.”
So he needs to go to the big house for a year and write a check.
Then the tort lawyers for the cleaning ‘adventure’ participants can go after him...
Good idea.
Quarantine rules must have some teeth in them.
I remember the quarantines in NYC in the ‘forties.
They were stringently enforced.
Everyone was afraid of the Board of Health.
It’s apparently a wealthy private school dance, so there probably WERE lawyers at the pre-party and dance. Interesting to think about.
[[What a selfish bastard that man is!]]
You are gonna see a lot of this happening- from people that don’t want to be couped up- but also from people that can’t afford to take time off from work
Not good.
These are some of my favorite people.
Prayers up for everyone who went to CPAC.
And don’t forget psychotic nutbars. One shot and killed a beloved high school football coach, Ed Thomas, here in Iowa a few years ago. Everybody knew the guy was totally nuts but HIPPA short circuits everything. Just BS.
Well, since he endangered THEIR precious little woobies, I hope they sue the crap out of him.
I’m sure the offending father’s house could be flipped for a decent profit...once it was cleaned.
I’m WAY more sympathetic to someone who can’t take time off work.
WAY.
I guess this guy decided since his kid had it he was going to make sure all the other kids and their parents had it too.
I know. So many hourly workers cannot afford two weeks off without pay.
And they are the ones we come into contact with every day.
Waiters, cooks, bartenders, caregivers, babysitters, Uber drivers, clerks in retail stores, etc. etc.
Lady, I’m also 79 and would not travel to another state for ANY reason right now. Please don’t.
Are you in the medical profession, just asking?
I saw a comment yesterday that Taiwan is putting ankle bracelets on people and fining them the equivalent of $30K for violating home confinement.
I live in the country.....Don't see any of them...
So.."we" ain't me....And prolly a lot of people...too..
Just saying........
North Korea executed a man for going to a public bath who was told to quarantine.
I would guess...nothing happens to the perp.
Wrong state.
In another state he might go missing should anyone elses family get this.
