I keep having these horrid thoughts:
Biden was supposed to keep his wits about him until November - his doctors probably told the DNC he’d squeak by. If he somehow won the election, the machinations after that would be epic but predictable.
Now I fear it doesn’t matter that Biden is failing too soon. The campaign VP is probably already chosen, and is qualified by virtue of having the capacity to carry on Biden’s campaign while he’s “recovering” from some “short term” disability. Biden will become an unseen mythical knight that all the Democrats can rally around, while his illness will keep any discussion of his malign character a taboo.
HRC will never campaign, but that doesn’t exclude her from becoming a replacement for Biden’s elected VP, when the VP suddenly withdraws after the election “for personal reasons.” Of course once HRC has that position, invoking the 25th after being sworn in is a given.
