Stop Blaming Kavanaugh For Schumer’s SCOTUS Threats

When Democratic leader Sen. Chuck Schumer threatened two sitting Supreme Court justices this week, some reporters and other Democratic politicians attempted to downplay his unprecedented attack by falsely claiming he was echoing what Justice Brett Kavanaugh had said during his contentious confirmation hearing.

Only the completely ignorant or willfully duplicitous person could make such a comparison.

I pray those two justices, Gorsuch and Kavanaugh will do as they had planned.....not let any two-bit biased senator unlawfully threaten them...instead they should demand the censure of senator Schumer. 69 years as senator has him thinking way above his raising. Vote him out of office in 2020.

Still waiting for Chuckie to get flashbanged and dragged out out his house in cuffs at 3am by Federal Marshalls, like any one of US would be had we threatened a SCOTUS judge...

Even if Kavanaugh had said that (which he didn't), it was 1) no reason to respond with threats, and 2) Schumer could have voted against him, which he did.

There is absolutely no way you can walk back the meaning of these two sentences. There is nothing ambiguous or equivocal about them.

When you name two people, and then you say “You will pay the price”, there is no ambiguity about some other consequence befalling some other individuals. So this is not a threat against Trump, nor the Senate. It’s a direct threat against two sitting justices.

The english language is very often open to interpretation, but not when you use simple grammar, such as naming people specifically, and then declaring “you” (subject, previously named) “will pay” (verb, future tense) “the price” (object, and the only part of the sentence open to interpretation).

So you can debate what “the price” is, but there is absolutely no way you can claim you weren’t threatening those specific individuals.

Supreme Court Justices or not, Chuck made a direct, explicit threat to two people, BY NAME.

Where and how in the US is that defensible?

In what abberated universe is it allowable for anyone to go on public record (or private correspondence) with that kind of threat of harm, for any reason whatsoever?

What a breed of knuckle scraping, animal brutes these ‘Liberals’ are now.

No decisions have been rendered that he is referring to. The research, preparation and writing of the decisions do take time and the direction of the decisions are known in advance by those on the court. Does this mean we have someone leaking from the Supreme Court?

Can’t agree more with you.
Had that been a Republican Congress person the LSM would have ripped him/her apart and demanded they be removed from the halls of Congress and prosecuted.
Yet, nothing will be done to Chuckie. That is ‘Just Us’ for them not for us.

Interesting that Democrats are supposedly so concerned with the health of the mother yet are opposed to requiring their “health professional” having hospital privileges. I guess when women are just a paycheck, one doesn’t worry about these things.

How can this be seen as anything except a personalized attack on government officials ?
It is nothing short of an personalized attack in front of a screaming mob.
But suggesting that Sotamayer and Ginsburg "recuse themselves", is nothing more an administrative challenge based on obvious political bias.
The two situations are so different as to not be compared by tone or inferred violence.
Schumer should be censored at a minimum.

I suspect Chuckie is in cahoots with intelligence agencies.

He predicted they had “six ways from Sunday” to get Trump.

And they came up with the Steele dossier, Russian collusion, Mueller, ...

Now Chuckie is saying Gorsuch and Kavanaugh will “never know what hit them.”

What will the intelligence agencies come up with to hit these two justices? Only Chuckie knows!

I feel good about Gorsuch. On the other hand, Kavanaugh worries me. He's a certain type. Roberts' type. Establishment. Doesn't like controversy. Likes to liked by the gang at Harvard & Yale.

We badly need to win in November so Trump gets some more picks. There's just no freakin' way RBG makes it to 91 on the court. Breyer could be gone too.

This is a very explicit threat to those two judges.

Censure is not enough, and Schumer should resign or be arrested for those threats.

Any regular citizen would be arrested and prosecuted if he/she did the same.
