Sen. Elizabeth Warren to end presidential campaign
Washington Post ^ | March 5, 2020 | Amy B Wang and Annie Linskey

Elizabeth Warren, the senator from Massachusetts who promised to deliver “big, structural change” and vigorously fight corruption, will end her presidential bid Thursday after a series of devastating primary results crippled her once-promising campaign.

She was due to inform her staff Thursday, a person familiar with her plans said.

Warren, 70, entered the Democratic Party race in February 2019 after months of anticipation and quickly built a formidable organization. She eschewed large-dollar fundraisers, often saying that defeating President Trump would take a true grass-roots movement.

Warren at times electrified voters and attracted big crowds, and at several points she seemed a good bet to win the nomination. She turned in powerful debate performances, issued dozens of policy proposals and was an impassioned, efficient campaigner.

The political death of the Democrat party continues unabated as it comes apart at its seams from a serious lack of internal, effective, meaningful, leadership as both Democrats. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have proven neither have a clue as to the real world multiple functions.

The very fact that Pelosi & Schumer sustained and supported the likes of political failures, Maxine Waters, Adam Schiff, Jerrold Nadler, Michael Bloomberg, Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Etc., is clear need for a serious restructure of the entire political party.

Add to that devastating shortfall, the millions & millions of votes POTUS, Donald J. Trump received on the recent “Super Tuesday” primary election...where he performed better then the entire Democrat Party without Trump even having a real opponent. Whether the Democrat POTUS candidate, is Bernie Sanders or Joe Biden or, someone else....Trump will win re-election in a massive landslide victory!!!

Bottom line: Pelosi, Schumer and many other Democrat failures must go....like right now!!! The handwriting for such radical change is clearly written on the wall for all with brains to see and heed...immediately!!! Dems, either do it now, or die politically in November!!!

The death knell for Senator Elizabeth Warren was coming third in her adopted home state of Massachusetts.

Someone, actually several someone’s, will write a book. Self-serving and designed to make money but maybe a grain of truth.

I don’t think Tulsi is really actively running...she just sort of keeps her name in there. It will be interesting to see in the next primaries if she picks up votes and delegates simply from folks panicked over the 2 old buzzards left and want desperately someone else to vote for. She might pick up one state and then quit....but I am speculating.

Yay! I would rather stand next to a jet engine on full burner than have to hear Lie-awatha’s shrill, soul-wounding harpy screech.

They’re all running to be Bye-done’s VP pick. They know he won’t last long if he gets elected.

Her slide seemed to begin when she made up the story of Bernie claiming that “a woman cannot be elected!”.

Good summation. The Democrat power structure knows what real trouble their party is in, from the national down to the state and local levels. I think this election is a chance for them to unload the old fossil lefties like Biden, Clinton and they won’t need to worry about outsider Bernie. I believe too the GOP will win control of The House and Senate and thus ends the reigns of San Fran Nan and Schmucky. The future of the Democrats are people like Tulsi Gabbard. There will be an internal war in the aftermath of their defeat between the The Squad wing and whatever resembles the moderate wing of the party. Politics is cyclical, and they’ll be a stronger party in 2024 or 2028, but for the next few years they’re gonna take their lumps!

“I would love to know why so many Democrats got out of the race, all within a few days of each other.”

Tucker gave the reason last night. Biden will be easily manipulated in office in his fragile set and they will get ultra liberal laws passed.

I actually think both the Bernie and Biden camps know in their guts they are NOT beating Trump this cycle. Hence I expect this election to be a war for control of the future of the Democrat Party. The establishment, or corporatists vs. the socialists.

You might be right. These are some of the next primaries:

March 10:

Idaho - Presidential Primary
Michigan - Presidential Primary
Mississippi - Presidential & State Primary
Missouri - Presidential Primary
Gabbard will probably get at least three delegates, each, from MI and MO.

“I don’t think Tulsi is really actively running...she just sort of keeps her name in there”

I have been saying all along she will be the nominee just watch. Military, check, pro abortion, check, attractive, check, anti gun, check. Perceived as moderate, check.

Biden will be pulled and she will be put in his place.

Um, no. It NEVER looked like Liawatha had a chance. She comes off as an angry shrew. Thankfully, I can put her on the NO THANKS FR thread list.
