The medieval theocrats who rule Iran with an iron hand may be helping the coronavirus fulfill its potential as an uncontrollable epidemic. Yesterday, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei sought to calm what must be mass concern by appearing in public (apparently wearing gloves) to tell his countrymen that it might even be a blessing:
Many people strongly suspect that the practice of licking a holy shrine in Qom, epicenter of the current outbreak, has something to do with the rapid spread, including to senior members of the regime.
Yet the supreme leader did nothing to discourage this practice.
Perhaps even worse, the regime is fearful of coronavirus spreading in prisons; one suspects there is a factual basis for this fear. So what do they do? They release 54,000 prisoners to go and circulate among the general population, in order to spread the disease even wider.

The general number of use for infecting on this virus....is that for each member having the virus....will typically infect 2.5 individuals. So with 54,000 prisoners out...by day five of their freedom, they should have around 125,000 new folks infected (if all of them had the virus).
I’m no Einstein, but I would figure from the 81.5-million in population for Iran....at least 10-million should be infected by the end of March, and 50-million by the end of April. From the old Mullah population....virtually all of them probably will pass from this Earth by mid-summer.
Yep. Iran is clearly THE place to watch re: this virus. The question is...will this virus evolve and adapt once it gains a solid foothold in an incubation lab like Iran?

So you are stating there will be 100% mortality in Iran? Really?
I’m saying the Mullah crowd (mostly all over the age of 65) will have a hard time surviving this virus.
