Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) picked up a delegate in American Samoa on Super Tuesday. This technically qualifies her to participate in the next Democratic debate in Phoenix. Arizona on March 15th.
Will the DNC allow her to participate?
At this point, the DNC probably doesnt want to add candidates to the discussion. Naturally, they would want the field to narrow, but if they deny Gabbard a spot, the optics wont be great.

1. Will the DNC's "new" rules that it "develops" exclude Warren?
2. How can the DNC reconcile excluding women when it changed its rules to allow Bloomberg to qualify for last month's debates?
3. Would the DNC be better off allowing both Gabbard and Warren to debate so that Joe only has to talk for 25% of the time in the debate?
4. Will Sanders be smart and call the DNC out for excluding people of color (Tulsi is part Samoan) from the debates? Tulsi probably would refrain from attacking him in a debate and concentrate on Biden.
5. Does Tulsi Gabbard have some sort of really damaging information against the DNC that she will use to blackmail them into giving her a debate spot? Was the whole reason she kept running so she could pick up a delegate and threaten them with this information if they don't go by their earlier debate rules regarding a candidate qualifying by virtue of getting at least one solitary delegate?
Topics for discussion.
I’ll take #3 with a yes. Biden might have trouble with the extended intensity of a one on one debate. On the other hand, I wonder whose ankle Tulsi would bite—Bernie’s or Biden’s? She’s rather idealistic for a Dem, and pretty far to the left. That could lead to a 3 to 1 against Biden, depending on who has offered Lizzy the best deal.
If she did, that would be rich.
I think Tulsi has always been a Bernie supporter.
Dust off that white pant suit.....
Tulsi is anti war candidate. The only one, although Trump himself is against regime change wars like she is.
Steve Bannon says they interviewed Tulsi for a foreign policy job, and that she is qualified.
She’s a Major still active in the Army. Has been deployed to war zone
The next debate: Winning the hearts and minds of the electorate with Bernie and Biden.
Tulsi is running to be VP.
If the Dem minders can change the rules to let Mister Bloomberg in, they can change them to exclude Tulsi.
And, they will, one highly suspects.

Tulsi was toast for the DNC as soon as she sued Crooked Hillary...
she won’t be in the debate, she should quit and endorse Crazy Bernie but she wants that $$$ from FOX as a ‘contributor’
If you notice, negative articles on GABBARD are being scrubbed from the internet. MSM is reinventing her just like they did OBAMA before he ran for POTUS.
VP or 2024?
I did see she came in second in American Samoa on the ticker last night. I found that even more amusing that Bloomie’s win.
They are meeting next week to put out the qualifications for March 15th debate. Dont be shocked if they. Keep tulsi out but warren in. Of course it wouldnt surprise me if they keep sanders, tulsi and warren out and declare Biden the winner.
All that and not even an Article II Natural Born Citizen!!!
Gabbard will stay in the race at least until the swimsuit competition.
Last tiem, a couple of Hillary electors voted for Bernie and they voted for Tulsi for VP.
Looking forward to Tim Pool’s rant about this on youtube. (TimCast)
He’s a big Tulsi fan.
Yet another reason why I was elected, therefore I should be allowed to govern, and as I wish, is a bad idea.
To paraphrase Churchill, democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the others. We should not worship those who win elections, nor should we grant any political hack power just because he won some recent election,
I wouldnt want Tulsi Gabbard to assert ahistorical power just because she won some election. The same is true of all politicians, most of whom are power-mad hacks.
You know, just like the Founders warned us,
Good point. Thank you for reminding me about him.
