That’s too bad. Jeff’s heart was in the right place, but he just wasn’t up to the job of AG... at all. And now, he’s probably not up to the job of Senator, either.
Although, I don’t know much about his younger opponent.

Tommy Tuberville is “only” 65 years old.

Sessions suffers from the same disease as many establishment Republican politicians.
No fire in belly, weak knees and an inane obsession with “getting along”
In all honesty I don’t think Sessions realized just what he was up against. Remember, the DOJ lawyers told him he had to recuse himself. He just listened to them, possibly because he didn’t think he had another option. OTOH, he should have realized what he was up against and he should have fought instead of just rolling over. Now he is paying the price.
I preffered Byrne over these two though.
This position will now go back to being Republican after the Roy Moore catastrophe.
