Didn’t this guy say he would vote for Trump over Sanders?

This is what I think too. Chris called out the Bernie loonies and said that would bring the Dems down. No breach in the Dem wall can be allowed!

I'm getting up there too. It's too bad I can't compliment a women about her looks anymore, but that is where feminists have brought us. What am I supposed to say? You look especially plain tonight??

To represent the non-crazy, “No Kool-Aid for me, thanks” Left on television, while being entertaining and pointed and wacky.

This is an absolutely ridiculous read of the situation. Matthews was the KING of the crazy kool-aid drinkers. He was "doing his job", as in doing what his DNC masters told him to do, by attacking Bernie under the guise of being some kind of moderate. Matthews is a full on kool-aid chugging idiot.

The most important thing that everyone chooses to ignore is that NBC is Comcast.

Another take on his “retirement/resignation” (pressure from the wife):

The easy way to stay out of trouble is to be unfailingly polite to all women, regardless of age. Treat them like you would treat your daughter, mom, or wife, especially in public. Don’t flirt.

I say this as someone who is now old enough to be called an old guy. It’s not a societal thing you can fix.

So the rumor that Crissy offered Racial Madcow a bj wasn’t
true after all?

I think that women have found another tool in their box to leverage their way to the top. The older men at the top of the pay had better watch their p’s and q’s because there are those who would love to replace them for others who they can pay cheaper.

Bassett writes that a couple of flirty comments from Matthews “undermined my ability to do my job well.” That’s hard to believe.

No, it's a lie.

Re: the posts on this thread, I am always happy to hear about the personal lives of my FRiends.

For myself, the first serious business I ran (and started) was practically an orgy of hard work, flirtation, sex, booze, bad jokes, teasing, free speech, political incorrectness...

I sure am glad it wasn’t during these stifling, sad “Me Too” years.

I still have the big $5000 full grain Bloomingdale’s leather couch from the salon, with a perceptible - and memorable - stain here and there.

Nobody had more fun at work than we did.

I think MSNBC wanted to save some money by replacing him with a lower-paid hack.

I don’t see this as a problem. MSNBC really doesn’t want Beanie to be the candidate anymore than the DNC does.

I’m in my mid-20’s. Older men flirt with me far more often than younger “men,” who are usually still boys in their 20’s, and very insecure.
I don’t understand why any woman would be offended (much less incapacitated) by flirty comments.
Older men break the ice this way. Some of them are actually flirting, others are just being friendly.
By the way, older men are better dates. They’re usually not stupid or crazy, and if they are they don’t try to hide it. :) Seriously, at 50 they usually still look good and they’ve got most of the bugs worked out of them. They’re not scared or intimidated by a woman’s looks or brains.
Maybe they’re short on time, so they don’t waste it being phony. Or, some woman has already taught them they can’t fool anybody. So they go with authenticity.

He wasn’t fired, he “resigned to spend more time with family”. And Dr. Drew Pinsky wasn’t fired from his HLN show for complaining about Hillary Clinton’s quack doctors that weren’t doing anything for her during the 2016 campaign. (Drew was right but I’m sure Hillary’s selection of doctor was based on his willingness to give her the pills that she likes.)
