Vice President Mike Pence’s office said he did not have contact with a Florida student who was later quarantined for the coronavirus while visiting the student's school, Bloomberg News reported.
The vice president on Friday reportedly shook hands with the male student’s classmates at Sarasota Military Academy. The student was later quarantined along with his mother, who came in contact with a patient who tested positive for coronavirus “in her professional role” at Sarasota Doctors Hospital, according to the school’s Facebook post.

I would think that the secret service has a supply of remdesivir ready to treat trump and pence at the first indication of exposure/contact.
It would be negligent not to.
That’s definitely likely with the President’s security detail’s preparedness. My original post above was meant jokingly as Trump is well known to be a germaphobe.

As I understand it, remdesivir is still just in the testing phase for use in treating this virus - in Nebraska, I believe.
I read a couple of weeks ago about two COVID-19 cases in another country where remdesivir was used in terminally lung-congested patients on a compassionate care basis (equivalent to our “right to try”) and cleared their lungs in 24 hours. So this stuff seems to have a lot of potential. This may be the treatment that Pence said should be approved in about two weeks.
I still think those Dim Senators and J F’n Kerry who met with the Iranian foreign minister should be quarantined. At the very minimum, the Surgeon General should walk into Congress and give them blood tests right there.

At this point remdesivir is not an approved treatment for covid 19. However , it has seen some successful compassionate use , and passed phase 2 testing on Ebola, it was safe to use, But not the most effective treatment for Ebola.
