Six people in Washington have now died from COVID-19, the illness caused by a new coronavirus, state and King County officials announced Monday, as they said that an extraordinary effort to contain and manage the health crisis is moving toward a new stage.
While stressing most people will experience mild symptoms, the officials say more cases are inevitable and they will soon stop intensively following up on each one. Rather, they will focus on outbreaks and giving individuals, schools and other institutions the best advice on how to minimize illness...
The majority of King Countys cases are also linked to the Life Care Center in Kirkland, and four of the people who died were residents of the nursing home, according to Duchin. Officials have previously said 50 residents of the nursing home have shown possible signs of the virus.

how many have died of the flu during the same period?
Its not the nursing homes fault. Seniors with underlying health conditions are especially vulnerable.
COVID-19 hits the elderly and the very young hardest.
God bless you and keep you safe.
Not hype, reality. 27 firefighters and 2 policemen are in quarantine, some with symptoms.
Not four from the same facility... where we have been frequent visitors and know and are friends with staff and residents. This situation has now hit close to home for us.
Life Care Center was fined last year for allowing the flu to outbreak in the facility.
It does not sound that “clean” and sounds like they are run by a group of idiots who don’t know what they are doing.
They did nothing and the Washington state did nothing either, almost like they wanted the outbreak and deaths to happen so the SJW’s that run that state can cry “Orange man bad”!
COVID-19 hits the elderly and the very young hardest.
I dont think this is correct. Posted a link yesterday about how scientist are baffled at the lack of young getting hit hard. Of course, some get it....but not hard hit
The other thing they are watching is lack of cases in Africa. Nigeria case is an Italian. Egypt- foreign national. ALgeria- says it came from France vistor to a relative.
Like the Chicoms, Seattle,King County virus numbers are made up.
Seattle has hyped the numbers as fake news anti Trump propaganda
Believe nothing from the Seattle communist regime
Feel free to get the virus and report back to us.
Dismissing this virus is reckless..
....
It’s equally reckless to try and make Coronavirus a pandemic when only 3100 people have died, and proffering nothing but speculation and conjecture as proof of its potential deadliness.
The scary ass thing is the fact this virus can have carriers that don’t feel sick for WEEKS/MONTHS!!!!!
WEEKS/MONTHS!!!!
think about that
Most cold/flu and you are only contagious for mere days no more than a week.
When you could be a carrier for ONE OR MORE WHOLE MONTHS!!
And not even REALIZE IT!!!
Not to mention if you can get re-infected with it later and with WORSE effects...
Also the fact the virus can hand around on surfaces for FAR longer than the common cold/flu and it starts gettign scary.
This is basically “flu-AIDS” or “HIV-COLD” that can stick around forever.
Quarantine may prove to be totally useless for this disease.
Since any decent Quarantine protocol would mean you would have to isolate yourself for at LEAST THREE WHOLE MONTHS!!!
Try maintaining that in a modern society?
YOU CAN’T

how many people have died of WuFlu, with no testing?
simple, no test, no diagnosis, no WuFlu. go back to buying soap, cars and hamburgers...
The youngest of the lot was 50 years old and already had medical problems. Four of the people who died were residents at the Life Care Center nursing care facility in Kirkland, in suburban Seattle, King County health officer Jeffrey Duchin said Monday. Four other coronavirus cases are also linked to the Life Care Center.
My wife spent most of her career working in multi-level care facilities and my crews and I responded to more nursing homes than I can remember. I can state unequivocally that this is a very well run facility that is much better than most with very conscientious employees.
I don't know how it is where you live, but all care facilities in Washington get fines at some point or another. I find your comments during this time of crisis for our friends and acquaintances to be ignorant, rude, and distasteful...
“COVID-19 hits the elderly and the very young hardest.”
Do you have a reference for the latter. I’ve not heard it hits the young hardest, in fact I’ve heard the exact opposite.
