Mesut Hakki Casin, a prominent member of Turkeys Security and Foreign Policy Board, who advises Erdogan, said: We have fought Russia 16 times in the past, and we will fight it again.
Casin made his statements following the death of 33 Turkish soldiers who were killed in an airstrike by Russian-backed Syrian forces in Idlib.
The official hinted that they will use Muslims inside Russia to assist them with their efforts saying that Moscow will be will be shattered from inside should a war break out between the two countries.
Following a request from Ankara, NATO convened an urgent meeting to review the situation in Idlib on Friday. Turkish officials vowed to retaliate against Syria following the attack on their troops.

I don’t thinks it is a sort of feud for the nukes getting involved and I also believe NATO would find the way not to get involved. It would produce a great deal of hot air but no real military response.

[Cant use nukes? Wanna bet? The Turkish navy comes out to play and one of the Russian subs uses a nuclear torpedo. IN A NANO SECOND.]
I’ll take that bet all day long. The Russians won’t use nukes. If they do, Putin is finished, and perhaps Russia with it. And perhaps CONUS. It’s a major escalation. If Putin goes that route, he will be the last Russian president. And Russia will cease to exist after that. The Chinese will grab everything east of the Urals, and perhaps west of it as well, along with all of the Stans. The US and Russia will be an irradiated mess. And that is why Putin won’t do it. He’s OK with the end of the US. He’s not OK with the end of Russia as a nation state, and its domination by its Far Eastern neighbor.

You know, Adolf Hitler thought the same way about Russia. Did not work out to well for that asshole did it?
China wont get involved with Russia. But they certainly WILL get involved in the Pacific rim and already are involved in S. America...especially the Panama Canal.

A Russia with all of its cities exterminated and its strategic forces destroyed by the US will be no obstacle to China. Note that China is not Germany. In 1939, Germany’s economy was the same size as Russia’s. China’s today is 8x the size of Russia’s - before the destruction of Russia’s facilities by all-out nuclear war between the US and Russia. And then there’s the issue of the 10:1 manpower differential - before Russia is devastated by American nuclear strikes.

Bottom line is that Putin won’t use nukes against Turkey. Because there are many other downstream factors involved.

Well... that would certainly solve a bunch of problems in Europe and create a bunch more in Asia as China fills the vacuum.

That was just one part.
In all of history, islamic nut cases like Turkey’s EGO-dan are responsible for far more death and destruction than the nazis, communists, and democrats combined

As someone of Polish ancestry I will back the Turks on this one. Turks are actually human beings (yes, Ive been there).
You should look up the significance of September 11th.

And why would NATO get involved with this? Even if Turkey tried to do that, they're the aggressor state here, so it's not like Article 5 can be invoked.
To: Zhang Fei
Problem is Article 5 of the NATO CharterNot that big of a problem. We've told Turkey to screw off before. I don't see NATO riding to Erdogan's rescue if he manages to pick a fight with Putin.

I guarantee if the Russians kick Turkey’s butt and start moving in on Turkish territory. Turkey will be pushing the Article 5 button until they break it.

I do think this entire situation will fizzle, but we’ll see.
