Attorney General William Barr has tightened his control of the Justice Departments antitrust probes over the last several months, a move that could spell trouble for Google, Facebook, and other Silicon Valley tech giants.
The attorney general, along with his deputy attorney general, Jeffrey Rosen, and several other officials, have personally taken over the antitrust probes, Politico reported Monday. The move makes good on a promise Barr made during his confirmation hearing, when he vowed antitrust issues would be a priority for him.
I think a lot of people wonder how such huge behemoths that now exist in Silicon Valley have taken shape under the nose of the antitrust enforcers, Barr said at the time.

Barrs more focused oversight of the probes has effectively pushed aside the head of the DOJs Antitrust Division, Assistant Attorney General Makan Delrahim. Because of Delrahims previous legal work for Google, he and the official directly under him, Deputy Assistant Attorney General Barry Nigro, were both recused from the Google investigation as of earlier this month.

Sweet!!
Now.........
Can WE have some INDICTMENTS, Please?
Ho hum. More chum for the Conservative masses. Another, “Look, a squirrel!” misdirection. How ‘bout we dial up some of those indictments we have been promised?
Still nothing on Hillary, or Clapper, or Comey, or Brennan, or Strzok, or Page, or any of the countless criminals you have been promising would get close review. Still bupkiss on that and we’re to now believe that you’re going to go after big Tech.
What a joke.
Free Speech Alliance Provides Examples of Social Media Bias, Principles of Fairness to AG Barr
In an open letter published Wednesday, the Free Speech Alliance voiced its support of Attorney General William Barrs concerns regarding the practices of giant social media platforms and recommended four principles of online fairness to combat bias.
The letter to the attorney general, signed by leaders of more than two dozen conservative organizations, including Media Research Center President Brent Bozell, documents examples of anti-conservative bias and censorship by Google, Twitter, and Facebook.
Each of the major social media platforms has an oversized share of influence on the public conversation, the letter says. Citing Google as an example, the letter notes that more than 90 percent of all search queries worldwide are done through its technology giving it the power to alter the public discourse across the world.
The letter closes by asking the attorney general to consider four recommended principles of social media platform fairness and best practices:
1. Transparency,
2. Clarity of Hate Speech,
3. Truly diverse hiring practices, and
4. Mirroring the First Amendment

Barr has made it his primary objective to protect the Department of Justice. Like Sessions, Rosenweasel...
That’s all well and good, but you need to be putting the coup plotters in prison.
If Google bans third party cookies from its Chrome browser like they said they are planning to do, it would spell the end of online web ads from all advertisers except Google Ads.
Using a monopoly in one area (browser dominance) to leverage monopolistic control of another area (online advertising) is about as obvious a violation of anti-trust laws as you can get.
Anyone paying attention knows that indictments and trials are on the way. Investigations have been going on for a long time. People who are adults know that large numbers of criminals, engaged in multiple serious federal felonies, involving foreign governments/entities, take more than a few months to investigate fully.
And anyone who thinks good investigators and/or prosecutors would be spewing the details as they go along, alerting the targets to their every move, is not only childish but lacking in intelligence.
This thread is chockfull of defeatist eeyores who appear to be of childlike reasoning capacity.
Excellent. Gov program DARPA was used by the CIA to create surveillance software and then DARPA funds used to fund business development in Silicon Valley which just happened to develop programs that the CIA found useful. So breaking apart CIA’s technology storefront is key to draining the swamp. WINNING!
Childlike.
Couldnt happen to a nicer bunch of fellas!
Reddit is hammering a stake through The_Donald, and youtube is banning everyone to the right of The Young Turks. They’re thumbing their noses at you Barr, because they know you are toothless and won’t do anything to stop them before the election.
Cool, let me know when something actually happens.

Actually Im far more curious about why Comey, Clapper, Brennan, and Lynch are still breathing free air.
Maybe its just me.

Anyone paying attention knows that indictments and trials are on the way.
Ive been paying a hell of a lot of attention and I see absolutely zero evidence for your claim.

Yeah, toss around all the name calling you want, the fact remains that nobody has been indicted, and many crimes that would have been a slam dunk are now unprosecutable because the statue of limitations has expired while we were waiting.
